Starswirl The Bearded | Do you think he will make a physical appearance?

(So sorry if this question has been brought up before, not the type of person that goes through 1 billion pages to find similar threads. Actually should of used the search bar coming to think of it actually)

 

Do you think Starswirl will make some form of physical appearance in the show anytime soon or distant in something like season 21 or season 100? (If the show is still going that is)

 

With the amount of time spells Starswirl made, (I think so... haven't really paid attention to the episode where twilight tries to complete the uncompleted spell) there is a possibility that Starswirl could travel forward in time to Equestria, possibly to have battle with some evil threat. What makes me think this will be VERY distant is the fact that starswirl is depicted as a legend in FIM and it would sorta be very shocking to see him just suddenly pop out of thin air to aid the mane 6 in someway or another.

I hope he will, I did meet John Noble at Alamo City Comic Con and I said he would be great to voice Starswirl the Bearded. He said he'd talk to his agents and he won't say no if he was offered the role.

Here's my headcanon for StarSwirl. 

 

StarSwirl is the baby of Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst. He possesses the magical capability of Starlight and the knowledge of Sunburst. Starswirl is named after the great wizard and ends up becoming Twilight's student. Between Twilight, Starlight, and Sunburst he learns all the time magic he needs and eventually finds out that he has to go back in time and set the events in motion that make the timeline in which he exists. That is why he shows up in so many different important times in history to solve problems, because he learned about all those events being taught by his parents and Twilight Sparkle. 

 

Starswirl then goes on to raise and ascend Celestia and Luna, who in turn go to teach Twilight in the future, who in turn teaches Starlight and then her son Starswirl...

That is a good question. I personally believe it would be more likely that Starswirl would appear mostly in a flashback of some sort. We've scene the writers use Discord, Celestia, Luna, etc. in the same way. We also saw that sort of imagery with Tirek and his backstory.

 

I also doubt that the writers would return to time travel after the last finale. More easily it could be portrayed as if Starswirl disappeared for some time but is still alive, just as Celestia, Discord, Tirek, etc. are presumably very old.

I'm pretty sure he will. I swear I saw a trailer with Twilight fangirling over him helping and working with the mane 6 to solve a huge problem (from what I could gather from context and all of the clip). Does anyone know where this trailer is? >.> I can't find it but I know I saw it.

 

 

 

Edit: I can't seem to find anything...I know I saw something in a season six promo, but...I don't know. Guys, please don't let this post get your hopes up as I have yet to confirm this...I guess...

Personally, I'd like them to save this for the movie, and I'd prefer it if they just showed him in flashbacks, possibly with the sisters.  In other words, I don't want him to actually meet the mane 6.  I feel like that would just be too convenient, hokey, and potentially lore damaging, which means that they will probably do it.

Wow! At the very least, I was also thinking that Starswirl is the son of Sunburst and Starlight. That beard and wizard cloak Sunburst was sporting just scream the name, Starswirl!

One thing that I gotta say: I'd like it if starswirl appeared in the show so they could retcon his comic personality.
Its not a *bad* personality, its just not what I'd want STARSWIRL to have. Basically "pinkie if she was a unicorn" just isn't what I want for starswirl.

That being said, the fact that they've used him in the comics is one reason I doubt we'll see him in the show.
