Should Fluttershy learn to work on her anger issues?

We've seen Flutters cover a lot of issues involving her timidity, shyness, and self confidence. But so many episodes (Putting your hoof down, Best Night Ever, Power Ponies, Keep valm and Flutter on) show that she DOES have anger issues that lie under her cute and shy personality, and they have yet to be addressed. She hasn't had any lessons on how to control her anger when it rises to the surface, and that, as in the past, has shown to be a serious problem because she lets it get the best of her.

 

So should these issues be tackled like her shyness? Personally, I think Luna could be the best pony to help her with this, since she has fallen victim to her own anger a few times.

Maybe her brother may help us understand the why Flutters have anger issues. I want to see her tackle the issue head on and acknowledge the fact that she may have a solution to her problem.

 

In real life, we also act different with our siblings than with our friends and back into relating to Fluttershy, her brother may be the key to solve this.

so you want a one episode fix of her confronting her anger issues, and getting over them, sounds like.

And are you also implying that these issues stem from her brother? Or that her brother is just going to be the one who helps show Flutters ways to properly manage her anger?

I think she HAS been getting over her anger issues actually. She has nowhere NEAR the mood swings she had in the earlier seasons. Her anger is far more measured and controlled now than it had ever been prior to season 1.

I am on board with Flutter Brutter giving us some kind of explanation as well. This could be a whole new side of development for Fluttershy that we have not yet seen in depth. Like Fluttershy I tend to have outbursts at times that really aren't exactly friendly and seeing them tackle that kind of issue, definitely is an interesting idea. Perhaps her brother could push her over the edge and she gets uber angry at him and then we could learn a bit about her anger problem.

I think being kind all the time and bottling up negative emotions like anger can result into the types of outbursts Fluttershy has. We haven't seen it in a while from her, but hopefully the new Fluttershy episode can give some sort of an explanation perhaps.

The latter one, Nightmare Muffin. I can see where her brother may show a different light in Fluttershy in regarding to her anger.

I say yes, because this is why I love Fluttershy soooooooooooo much - in this aspect I'm practically a mirror of her. I have a bad habit of snapping when others don't follow what has been asked of to do - either by me or by a leader in a group. And because of my deep, Vin Diesel-like voice, I can be quite intimidating. Even though I'm thin in structure and have little muscle, I'm 6'2.

 

But like Fluttershy I'm trying hard to suck it (anger) up and be composed under pressure and situations. Over about two years I have improved and withheld my "roar" (as my father puts it).

 

So far in the show most of the Mane 6's backstory/parents/family have been mentioned or even shown, except Fluttershy (and Rainbow Dash too). Hopefully the newer episodes will reveal that, and also answer a zillion questions we fans have had all at once. (Hasbro did that last season with Diamond Tiara in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", remember?)
