Plus, also in the commercial, we see Rarity's parents. So, does this increase the chance he is actually Rainbow's father?

 

It could just be coincidence, but so far everything does seem to add up.

This is the third Hearthswarming Eve of the series, and the Cake Twins were born before the first one aired. So it is likely they are 2 or 3 years old by now - that should be old enough for them to learn to talk.

 

Singing is another matter, but most ponies in this world can sing (even when they supposedly can't, like Scootaloo).

 

I for one am OVERJOYED to see them age-progressed, especially after their appearance in the CMC episode showed no change which alarmed me. But that episode was set right after the CMC got their marks so it makes sense. Seeing them in that commercial made my morning - they're totally adorable as toddlers!
