Anyone into the CCG game like me?

I have cards from base and nights. No one plays where I live. It's very depressing because its a really great game.

I don't, but I know a game store that used to hold an event for this game once a week. I wasn't a brony at the time so I didn't really care about it. When I checked recently, the event wasn't listed anymore. I guess they stopped holding it. Kind of sucks, I played a lot of the WoWTCG and a little of MTG, I would have liked to try this now.

Ah, it's good to see another player in the midst of everything!

I myself enjoy playing, and having just acquired the new release (an entire 36-packet box), I've re-formulated my deck, which is a Purple/White Denial deck. Never played any tournaments, though... Wish I could.

Anywho, I won't be posting the deck-list in public, Jonquil, but I'd be glad to share it with you!

"Time is just an illusionary factoid that all natural things are bound to. It has the power to crumble even the mightiest of mountains into little more than dust, yet if it is an illusion, why is this so? Because people waste a lot of time, only wishing they had more. Little do people realize an inescapable fact: Time governs those who wish they had more of it. By wishing you could use it better, you govern time, and you can get all the time you'll ever need." — Starfall, Quillwaver

I only discovered the game a few days ago, looks interesting, need to read up on how it plays..I've looked up a few vids but maybe it was just not the best video as it looked a bit overly complicated, definitely thinking of checking it out tho,my wife and I regularly play the pokemon ccg so would be good to have another game, plus the cuteness

Nice! I'm going to get a starter set and give it a go,just not sure how the other decks fit in, and which ones are the best to go with...research mode activated

I sort of won a Celestial Solstice set at BronyCAN last year, and bought a starter pack to go with it, but I only got to play it on one other occasion with my friend. I just haven't had the opportunity. I don't know anywhere that even sells the cards in my area, outside of BronyCAN, let alone where I could go to meet likeminded individuals to casually play this game with. I wouldn't feel comfortable engaging in a tournament with my level of inexperience, but opportunities to just play the card game for no stakes, even at BronyCAN, are quite limited.

What is up with the disappearing booster packs?!  I just went to two walmarts and a target and I've been told they're not renewing their contract with the MLP CCG game!! AHHH!! they're not dying are they?! They make me happy. :/

Hi, as there appears to be two current threads about the CCG, I've decided to merge them.

Thank you for linking the threads  =D

Just doing my job. I for one support discussion about this fun but underrated card game, and now everyone can discuss it in one thread as opposed to two separate ones.

I would show off my new MLP CCG deck but Pony head doesn't have all the cards on their database.

the deck is a White and Blue accessory deck with a lot of cards from " Marks in Time" and "High magic" It has a lot of the Showy maniacal and quick movement on my side of the board. I will try to add some banish to the deck but is still being worked on.

The other decks I'm working on is a Blue and orange powerhouse deck and a mono blue frighten trouble maker deck.

I could make an Orange and blue deck which has fright and then work on just a blue and pink or purple trouble maker deck but I'm unsure what to do. Suggestions for a good trouble maker deck ? please and thank you

I have too many deck ideas going on at once =P and ideas are getting mixed up.

Oh let's keep this thread alive!

I just started playing and I already like the game a lot. Just ordered more decks and packs and even a few cheap singles. Anyway:

1. Where are you all located so we can find new ponies to play with? I'm in Sweden!

2. Where do you buy your cards? (And is there anywhere in Europe to avoid customs fees and such?) I found some rather expensive sites in Sweden, and an assortment of British ones where something is always sold out. I guess they're sold at all the conventions?

3. My brother and I think the Troublemakers seem a little bit underpowered, that is, they let the opponent score points for a very small effort. What do you think?

4. Some of the cards mention "counters". I can't find the rules for that. We've been using markers or dice to mark how many power/postage/hero points a card has. Have we misunderstood? What do you use?

5. Whyyy does the game end at 15? We always change that to 20 or more. Would that change the whole game, if I were to play against an experienced player?

What are the rules like for this game...and what's CCG stand for?

CCG = Collectible card game.

The rules, in short: First to 15 points win. You score points from confronting "problems" (cards) with your friends (also cards) by surpassing the problems strength (a number) with your friends' strength. You can also score points by defeating Troublemakers (cards), or by winning "face-offs" against your opponent's friends when you both have confronted a problem. There are several types of other cards as well. A "how to" video here:
