What compliment do you most like to hear?

I get awfully giddy whenever someone compliments my prose. It's something I desperately strive to improve upon, and I suck at it.

Compliments are always nice. But ultimately I think I'd rather hear compliments on something I love rather than something about myself. That way I can still appreciate the gesture and not feel self-conscious about it.

No, but seriously.  I suppose a compliment that would make me feel good is something regarding my intellect.  Yes, it may be a tad typical, I suppose? But understand that due to a certain series of life events, I've always felt insecure when it came to my intelligence.  I always feel silly when I try to express myself in any way because I'm amazingly bad at it.  I worry how I may sound speaking or how words may come out.  Overall, I'm just not happy with where I am and will constantly berate myself for stupid past mistakes that's gotten me to where I am now.  

 

When I hear someone compliment me on how intelligent I may sound, or that I may be in general, it makes me really happy and if just for that one moment, I can feel proud of myself.  I don't need someone to acknowledge me as a modern day Einstein or anything, I'd just like to be seen as up to par.

I don't always know how to handle compliments; though it's nice to hear them about about any art (specifically and particularly of Angelbabe or Rainbow) that I've done.  And I've been told that I "have a good heart"; that one's worth more to me than most.

Not so much a direct compliment, but I like it when people actually take time to PM me. They take time to actually make a message for me, and it feel nice to be their focus, even if for a little bit.

"You're the best kind of friend anyone would ask for" that was said by no one else than my dear Azure - that one is probably the compliment I value the most. It really made me feel like something valued and I love that feeling.

Me, the best compliment I can hear is "You are strange" or "You are crazy!" or "You are weird". That means I am achieving my goal! At being like Discord. But, you know, when it's said by a friend, and in a way that does not target to hurt me or make me feel bad. Just a genuine "Whoa, that's pretty weird!"

I value knowing above all else, so i do like it when people point out my skills in academics or other crafts.

"You're a saint" It's insulting to hear such thing now.

Later on I realized our religious fundaments, to be fear of punishment, and a complete ignorance of reality and the human body. It was too late, for those old ideas were so ingrained within my thought process, I had actually started fighting myself over this dogmatic metodology.

I woke up my friends, and we left. People kneeling before symbols of submission and martyrdom. Ideals susteined by the neglection of those things they feared the most.

Not to mention the little backyard secrects on our beloved priests. What a ingenious way to make the human divide and fight themselves.

Sorry if I derailed. Most compliments were related to virtues.

I haven't received enough compliments in my life to really have an opinion about this. And most of the time I do get them, people are complimenting my clothes. I've had people tell me I look cool before, too. But not much other than these things.
