Bazz 57 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 What places do you like to walk/run to, drive to and/or bike to? I like to walk to a few places. Usually, if I want an energy drink for example (I know they're bad for you, I know), I go to the Speedway that I can directly go to due to a back path in the local park that goes right to it. Along that walk I may stop at Smoothie King too - we just got one here and I love it so much! Driving/bike wise, I think I'd prefer going downtown that way since it's a good 4 to 5 miles up the local trail.
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,732 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 I walk basically anywhere that is in town. I cannot drive due to anxiety problems so I just walk. I enjoy that though. Either I will simply walk around town to get out, walk to the store, the local pizza place or up by the river to the river deck. ^-^ The river deck is lovely.

Heavenly Inexplicit 309 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 (edited) I like to walk to the store to get a bottle of cold coffee. They're great for a nice little zing of energy! I like to drive to a very pretty catholic church, and just enjoy the atmosphere. It's in a very very small town. I don't really bike, but if I did, I'd bike to work and church. Cars are nice, but I only like to use them when I'm going out of town or something, because I get nervous tics when I drive (but I'm getting better!). I pretty much walk or jog everywhere else. Scrubbed user 3,416 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 Where I live, it's not very bicycle friendly, and my house is in a rural area, so I drive to anywhere I need to go.

S.F. 1,560 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 If it's within about 5 miles, I will most likely walk (weather depending, or if I'm going to have to carry lots of stuff), otherwise I will drive. Cycling is if I can get there and back in a day - and 90% of the route is off road, as I hate cycling on roads. Luckily, my parents live next to a forest, so I often just leave my bike at theirs and take it out whenever I visit (happily, they enjoy it too). *Insert deep, intelligent and witty signature here*

S.F. 1,560 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 Does anyone here take the bus or train? Where I grew up, the public transport was (is) woeful, so it has kinda been ingrained into anyone who comes from there to get there yourself and to avoid public transport like the plague :s *Insert deep, intelligent and witty signature here*
Bazz 57 October 9, 2016 Author Share October 9, 2016 Does anyone here take the bus or train? The city I'm in has horrible mass transit, but back in the Texas city I'm going to soon, they have some though I am not sure of the quality.

Prospekt 11,020 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 I don't own a car, so I just walk or ride my bike to wherever I need to go on my college campus. Whenever I do need to go across town to the grocery store or whatever, I just tag along with friends who have their own cars. They're really nice about it and I try not to come across as a freeloader. 1 Signature by Kyoshi
Summer Breeze 2,528 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 well, I live in the netherlands, we're like the cycling capital in the world, the netherlands is actually the only country in the world ot have more bicycles as people. I cycle pretty much everywhere. I rarely walk anywhere, even if it would only be a 10 minute walk, because it's about three times faster by bike. basicly everything within a half an hour cycling I go to on my bike, which is basicly everything within 10 kilometers. everything further away I go to by car. or if I go somewhere with my whole family, then we also take the car. 2 thanks Pastel Pinkie for the amazing sign! and thanks icyfire888 for the super cute profile picture! IsraelYabuki 446 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 I usually walk everywhere I go but if it's too far to walk, I ride my bike. But if it's longer than what I'm use to, I just have my folks drive me there
Sketchy Tail 206 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 If it's not very far from my house, then I'll walk. But like going to school, I take the bus.
Victoria Sponge 1,017 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 The city I live in has absolutely everything you need in walking distance which is very good for my health. I do have a driving license but I no longer have a car or need for one so driving's out. I like to cycle but I haven't had a working bike for a few years now so I haven't done that for a while.
Thuja 3,659 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 The city I live in is pretty small so I can easily walk to most places. I do take the bus sometimes but not as much as I used to.
GrimGrimoire 4,973 October 10, 2016 Share October 10, 2016 Riding mass transit here is like coughing up bits for a ride across the river Styx. You really don't want to do it, but you do what you gotta do at times.I used to ride my bike everywhere. Then I got a bike with an engine on it and took it everywhere instead. Then I discovered said bike could not defy physics. Then I didn't go anywhere for a while. I just looked out windows and pretended i was going places. Then I got a truck and now make sure I don't try to defy physics. What I want to know is, where was that MLP lesson on driver safety at when I needed it? I might have payed attention more if Twilight had explained it to me. :ninja: Maybe. I should walk more places more often. ~No profound statement needed~
Dreambiscuit 10,094 October 10, 2016 Share October 10, 2016 I live in Southern Cal. Here, we drive. If I want to ride a bike (which I enjoy) I'd have to put a bike in the trunk of the car and drive to the beach or a park to ride it. I can ride a bike or walk in town, but the traffic makes bicycling too hectic and risky, and walking isn't worth it when there are too many cruddy areas and crime.

Dynamo Pad 11,440 October 24, 2016 Share October 24, 2016 I usually walk to my convenience store and friend's house if they are close in walking distance. I like to mostly drive to conventions, my job, friends who live far away, food stores if they are far away, and shopping malls. N.W. 3,619 October 24, 2016 Share October 24, 2016 I walk to most of my classes, but I have a bike I use for one or two that are across campus. I also bike around to some of the local stores and around the area to get some fresh air.
Wind Chaser 4,768 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 Naturally, I have to use public transit considering I'm in NYC, but I live in a part that's outside of the subway's reach. It's either buses or expensive car services, and sometimes I use a scooter to fill in the gaps.
Brightbart 268 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 I walk everywhere except for when I go to the grocery store, for that I drive. I'll also occasionally take the bus too if it's convenient. I luckily live in an area where everything is close by. I used to live in a place where you had to drive everywhere so I'm very much enjoying what I have now. It keeps up the exercise
Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 Walking and public transportation for me. I can't drive and haven't had a bike since I was a kid when it was stolen right out of my garage. I live in nj and the transportation isn't that good but I found a way to live quite comfortably with it but, I think the transportation in Portland Oregon would be better. My parents are forcing me to move there with them a few years down the road. Facebook: Josh B.
