I've been watching a lot of Youtube critic channels lately Who do you like? I'm subscribed to:

but my all time favorite is Spoony, who, sadly, hasn't done much in recent years.

 

I am not a big movie fan. I don't want to watch these movies, but I like watching the review of them. I think critics are like parasites, they make a living on other people's work. I don't mean to bash them, and they do good work, I'm just saying I have that thought in the back of my mind. 

 

What gets me is how people go to conventions to see the critics. I have no desire to do this, no do I have a desire to buy their dvds.

I'm subscribed to The Nostalgia Critic, AniMat, Pieguyrulz, Cartoon Palooza, LewToons, Bobsheaux, Saberspark, Mr. Coat, and PhantomStrider on the non-MLP side. I have quite a few on the MLP side but I only actively watch Silver Quill and occasionally Tyandaga these days.

I think the only critics I'm subscribed to on YouTube are SilverQuill, MadMunchkin, and the various channels of MatPat (Game Theory, Film Theory, and GTLive). They're really the only ones I catch on YouTube because I can't catch them elsewhere, and MatPat isn't really so much a critic as he is an entertainer. He makes theories about games and movies...then plays video games with his wife live a couple times a week. And they are glorious. 

 

Most of my other favorites are all on ChannelAwesome so I just check in there every couple of days. My above and beyond favorite is Nash and Tara with Radio Dead Air's WTFIWWY segment where they tear into the stupid news of the week.

I used to really like watching the Nostalgia Critic's earlier videos but over time when he started including skits in his reviews I really wasn't a fan of that style so I slowly stopped watching his videos.

Im not sure if you can call these Youtube Critics, since they are more Reviewers but i watch PeanutButterGamer, BrutalMoose, ProJared, Caddicarus, JonTron, SpaceHamster and CineMassacre ( aka Angry Video Game Nerd and Board James ).

 

From Movie Reviews i watch Bobsheaux, YourMovieSucksDotOrg, I Hate Everything, CinemaSins and sometimes The Nostalgic Critic.

 

From Mlp Stuff i watch RarityDash, ( and pretty much all other Reactors ), Mad Munchkin, I Love Kim Possible A Lot, Down Somewhere, ( he has an Analyzes Series ) ( or how ever thats spelled ), LowPonView, LittleshyFim and EquesTron.

I began with watching the Angry Video Game Nerd and Spoony. These days I also follow ProJared, sometimes JonTron, the Nostalgia Critic, Film Brain, and Todd In The Shadows.

 

I gotta say I wish Spoony went back to doing some more. I really liked his style and his reviews of FF8 and FF13.

Sometimes I watch playthroughs of old games. I don't like commentary. I like an edited play so there are no deaths/restarts. I watch them for back ground noise.
