Is Spike ever gonna move on?

I know I complain about this alot, and after all, Spike's crush on Rarity isn't used very often anymore. You think he's finally going to get tired of her ever?

 

I know alot of you really want them together, but this is show about friendship, not a show about relationships. This isn't EG! I mean alot of other people say that this is just a child-crush and that they'll never be together. Some of the staff say so too. Soooo... how about the next best thing? Have Spike move on? He's older and wiser now, and I think he knows she's not interested, and pretty much only uses his crush to get him to do stuff for her, which I don't like. This crush was cute at first in seasons 1-4, but after Castle Sweet Castle, I think it's time to end it.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'd like them to be friends still! But Spike's too good for her anyway, and Rarity is only interested in the fanciest, wealthiest ponies, and even though Spike is wealthy since he lives with a princess, it's still not enough it seems.

 

On the other hand, if DHX decides to actually have them together, then by all means do it! I just don't wanna see this one-sided crush anymore. I'm sure we can all agree there!

It was okay at first but it kind of got annoying very quickly when there was no real progress going on not to mention that Rarity has no interest in him as well. He really needs to find another one to like because after 6 seasons, it had it's fun.

you say he's older..but i think h's only about a year older. i only think a year because of the summer sun celebration in season 4-5 leading me to believe that only a year passed.d.but honestly, eh, alls i know is in the non-canon comics, sweetie belle has a spike plushie ^~^,

I am pretty ready for the show to pull a Gravity Falls and have Spike and Rarity finally discuss things and have him move on.

Considering how Spike has matured gradually over the shows run, and especially in the last season, I would expect him to put Rarity's relationship with him under the microscope at some point. I'm happy that the crush on Rarity has declined in importance in his portrayal in the series, but I don't want to see it become a non-entity as it's core to his story. It's one aspect that hasn't had a conclusion and to see it resolved either positively, negatively or amicably between the two characters would be nice.

 

As for what would happen, if it ever came up in the show, I'd leave it up to the writers to decide that. Better to be surprised on this as it would be a great thing to build up to.

hm..well, we can also say equestria has basically no time and they just do episodes of what they want. for all we know it's been like 9 years. xD though i would say 1 or 2 years, just due to the school fillies not having gotten any taller..

 

or progressed any grades..it seems.
