What if MLP was at Universal Studios?

Have any of you been to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida? There's a Barney the Dinosaur liveshow there that's been there since forever! Now alot of attractions got replaced there. The only ones that haven't been changed are the E.T. ride and the Barney live show. Now I don't want E.T. replaced, no way! But Barney, he's not even on TV anymore. It's surprising that people still go to his live show.

So instead, how about a live show for people ALL AGES can enjoy? Replace the Barney show with an MLP live show! Not that garbage MLP liveshow that's been around, mind you, I mean a better one! With original songs, and a plot that actually makes sense! It would involve the Mane Six doing... something, like preparing for a celebration but it doesn't go as plan because alot of things are going wrong, and in the end, well I don't need to say the moral, I'm sure you'd know what it is! ;) It would feature live-size costumes of each of the Mane Six, maybe some video screens around showing some of the characters that the Mane Six talks to, and there would be lasers and lights, and music! And then in the end, the kids can go to the MLP-style playground, because there's a playground kids can interact with voiceboxes and colorful rocks back with Barney, but not it'll be MLP related!

There's also a waiting pre-show outside since a live show would already be performing inside, people have to wait, and there's this old guy singing for the people in the Barney version, but in the MLP version, it would be Spike and the CMCs entertaining the people before the show starts! Also for you princess fans, Princesses Celestia and Luna would be giving the instructions and safety tips of what the show is going to contain, and no smoking, eating, or drinking allowed, or flash photography. Of course there will be cameos of each of our favorite characters on the video screens including Big Mac, Starlight, and Derpy!

So what do ya think? You think Hasbro and Universal should consider replacing the Barney show at Universal to an MLP show?

Nah, I'd rather have a ride with the Mane6 interacting with us while fighting Nightmare Moon or something :proud:

I agree. There should be an actual ride.

I'm thinking a roller coaster. Not only would a Rainbow Dash themed ride be awesome, but with Dragons Challenge likely on the way out, they will need a new coaster soon to compensate.

I just suggested it being a live show so it would be appealing to the little kids, just like Barney's Live Show was! I mean if you were ever on that attraction, you'd know the area I'm talking about, and what might be considered good replacements for that area.

That's a total waste of an attraction. Hasbro was willing to invest in Transformers the ride so I think they would do the same for MLP.

Not only that but MLP in live-action is the cringiest thing on earth.

I agree with this. The idea of people in giant pony costumes running around acting out MLP situations sounds absolutely horrifying on so many levels my brain refuses to imagine it. Let the kid's have their barney, if they enjoy it all the more power to them.

An MLP ride would be great and the most all around interesting... however if they did a show of sorts, it should be some sort of interactive attraction that utilizes the cartoon characters in a way that could appeal to almost everybody.

Yunno, a friend of mine suggested that the Equestria Girls show that's touring around should retire there! Forget the MLP show! How about the EG play being the live show instead? :D Of course keep the pre-show and the playground MLP! The ponies would appear on the video screens on top of the stage, and once Twilight goes through the mirror... BOOM! Live EG characters! Now that's more like it! :D

GOD NO! We don't need Equestria Girls being the face of MLP.

Well no one else likes the MLP Live Show thing! XD I just thought MLP being a live show at Universal would give that attraction more attention to not just the kiddies, but the adults! I'm sure if this happened, Hasbro would make it more appealing not give it some cringeworthy pony costumes, and make ones that actually look appealing.

Also what's with the "this post is approved" notification I keep getting? XD

Actually the exact opposite. Adults would get bored there very easily, while a dark ride (or maybe 3D special effects show like Mickey's Phantasmagic) would capture the attention of all ages.

There is literally no possible way to make a live action MLP show without it being incredibly out of place.

I want a whole Ponyville, like the Simpsons area and the Harry Potter world.

Sounds boring, unless you add a tint of villains, some little bit of explosions, rides that spins and stuff, explosions and a table spoon of Derpy :muffins:, and that's pretty much done  :-P

MY EYES.

No seriously, what idiot came up with that?

Unless something like this happens

We all kids would kill for live shows like that, but they are of those things they are cringeworthy as we grew up. If there's a live show like that if Universal puts ponies, I'm sure it'll be a kids only appeal, but just put some worthy rides of them in exchange. There was also an EG live show in Singapore if I remember well . Apart of making Aria the ditz alongside Sonata, Ive read that show was actually pretty good .

This is an awful idea. Not only is replacing Barney the freaking Dinosaur going to ruin the public's perception of the franchise but people in MLP costumes is pretty creepy in many people's opinions. There's a reason that live MLP shows are featured in cringe compilations.

A MUCH better idea would be either a 4D show like Shrek or Mickey's Phantasmagic like suggested above or even a dark ride like Transformers (another Hasbro property at the park).

Either way, the main component has to be animation or it won't work. And it has to appeal to kids of all ages instead of toddlers.

EXACTLY. Can you imagine making a line where you see MLP themed rooms with the actual characters speaking on screens and stuff, filling you up with the ride's plot to add excitement like those? I can picture the plot: Twilight brief us that we are crossing the mirror for the first official human-pony contact, fills us up with her ideas for the Equestria tour. She carries us through Poniville, see ponies and Derpy, and we get ready to go to Canterlot to meet Celly. But then, a dark cloud forms over Canterlot and Twi leaves us there and teleports..... well, and later is a fight against Nightmare Moon and stuff, but I have to better develop a possible plot for it XD
