Could some changelings still be loyal to Chrysalis?

Since everyone is talking about changelings right now, I have a small concern about them. In To Where and Back Again, every changeling in the throne room agreed with Starlight's idea of sharing love. I mean it wouldn't be so bad if there were some changelings that disagreed with her, and only half the changelings decided to take the good path. I know it wasn't shown in that episode, but could there be other changelings that decided to stay loyal to Chrysalis?

In any group, there are always those who will go a different way. I pretty much assume there are changelings still loyal to Chrysalis. Or she'll make more....

This would be a great idea for an episode. With Chrysalis being their mother, I would assume some would still hold some allegiance to her and even miss her. Would be could to see this emotional dilemma play a role in an episode.

There's no doubt that there are still unchanged Changelings. I find it hard to believe that every single Changelings was in the throne room to hear the whole shpheal about giving love at the time. Surely there had to be some in other parts of the hive, on guard duty, in outposts, etc. Surely those are the ones who are still loyal to Chrysalis.

Some of them might not have been there when Thorax transformed and was able to convince the other Changelings to go through the same thing. Wherever they are right now, they are likely to go back to Chrysalis and become part of a much weakened hive since the vast majority have changed. The Changelings tasked with impersonating the Royal Family and the Mane Six could be among those still loyal to Chrysalis as they were still active in their mission at the time of the massive reformation that occurred.

Temporarily, I'm sure there were. If nowhere else, there were changelings outside the hive impersonating the princesses/Mane 6/Shining Armor and Flurry Heart. But I can't imagine any changelings stayed loyal to Chrysalis for very long when Thorax could offer them a chance to not be ugly or starving anymore.

This is news to me. Has it ever been confirmed canon that she ISN'T their mother? I dunno, when I see a hive species and a Queen, the queen is usually the one who does the whole laying eggs thing. Plus there was that flashback with Thorax and all the baby changelings were crawling all over her, seemed instinctive.

 

I think her being their mother is the best idea, especially for the episode idea I mentioned.

I think they should keep quite a few changelings evil. This keeps Chrysalis a threat and proves that not every MLP should be reformed.

No doubt she can't be the only one whose the unrelenting villain. I was quite pleased with that and let out a sigh of relief when she denied reform.

As long as she is not reformed, then no, as it wouldn't make sense for them to go back. I honestly hope she can be reformed, and she probably will. If for some reason she is not, they will continue to be against her.

Not too sure about that. There are always people like the queen and there will always be people who follow people like her. 

 

I'd be entirely happy with her remaining as she is as a gentle reminder that sometimes..people are just unsavable.

Maybe if she had the right reasons, but she will have to learn eventually. She has practically nothing, and only left to save her pride. She will eventually realize that she won't get anywhere like that, and upon next confrontation will have no choice but to reform.

 

If she stays evil, what then? She can't just keep coming back, it's not realistic. This isn't the show to kill her either, that wouldn't work.

 

To any unreedemable villains, they were far beyond saving, but she had a chance, and is redeemable, especially since her reasons weren't completely selfish. Even if she did mostly care about herself, she was trying to sustain the hive, which while wrong, is understandable.

Hate and pride are powerful motivators. They've driven people to do illogical things throughout history. Granted we cannot kill her, but as far as to the point she can't keep coming back, I'd argue against that on the grounds that villains tend to do that alot in comic book culture and they are able to keep things fresh and interesting there too. 

 

When you've got nothing left to lose, you become extremely dangerous. I wouldn't count her out on a long shot.

I can see a dynamic (in the future) where Thorax has a successor or disciple directly in line with him, but staying very close and I am saying introduced as the shifty one, who is really working as a sleeper for Chrysalis... hits  on themes of betrayal, conflict of interest among followers, and these two end up having a sort of stand offish moment, Caesar Koba type themes... (dk if any of you guys like or watch or have watched planet of the apes.)

E erroneous for the most part is trust worthy. The reality is that you can't trust a person 100 % of the time. 

 

I like the idea of a sleeper agent or a plant by the queen. It seems fitting...the whole deception motif changlings have and what not.

I agree, people are often times untrustworthy, but more often people are just self righteous and judgmental... kind of look at Twilight in No Second Prances for example, she was just being a snoody self righteous jerk and being a poor princess of friendship.. but mlp has explored the elements of betrayal.. with Discord and what not.. i was just thinking of a way to make an alternative villain and giving Thorax a real in the position moment.. like maybe giving secondary characters their own villains would displease fans but i think it would be cool Edited March 15, 2017 by Rose Coil

It would be nice to see her advisor or a loyal right hand man in a show just as in the comics. Since everything with a king or a queen there's always at least one loyal subject and a advisor next to them.

One has to remember that Chrysalis still had those drones impersonating the Mane Six and Royal Family out there in Canterlot, Ponyville, and the Crystal Empire.

 

Though the Season 7 premiere teaser shows everyone back at the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville, indicating that they either kicked the drones impersonating the Mane Six and Spike out, or they fled on their own once learning of Chrysalis being overthrown, as long as those drones are still loyal to Chrysalis, she still has some followers to try and attain her revenge on Starlight, the Royal Family, and the Mane Six in the future if they can't be ready for her by then like how she caught them off-guard with the events in A Canterlot Wedding and To Where and Back Again.

I personally think Queen Chysalis can make more changelings for herself and use them against Thorax and the “reformed” Changelings in a future episode

It would also make for an interesting episode to see the two types of Changelings go against each-other
