Yuki's eyes widened as Vince closed the distance between them, but she was quick to react. She could've done one of two things at that time, pull back and try to get out of his sword's range, or use her weapon's second form for a more unorthodox method. Following the first would make her initial charge useless while the second might end up with her still getting hit. Deciding to go for the second, the fox faunus rotated her lance and released the lock holding back the three prongs of its longbow form. The process took a second and one of the prongs managed to deflect the sword while another hit Ghalan in the chest.

Vince clicked his tongue as he felt his blade being deflected away from its original target, not expecting Yuki to able to do anything with the way he positioned himself. Much to his surprise Yuki changed her weapon's configuration, which to her advantage managed to parry his blow and land a hit to his chest. There was pain for certain, however it was nothing compared to the blows he had faced in the forest from grimm. Yuki's prongs weren't dedicated weapons compared to grimm claws after all, on top of his armor the blow was relatively light. "Tricky little vixen, first blood belongs to you ," Vince thought as he pulled his blade back, deciding what to do next. Thanks to his general durability and weight Yuki's blow hadn't pushed him back much, his feet shifting around a couple inches and his back being arched back for a moment. Vince was still around the same position as a few moments before, up close and personal. "Better now than never," Vincent thought as he prepared to use his semblance. Concentrating his mind, the area in front of him had been immediately engulfed in what seemed like a large wave of light. The large cone which the semblance had effect and Vince's one foot distance would make sure his semblance hit. The wave of what seemed like light had the ability to disorientate whoever was caught in the cone, their eyes blinded and ears drowned out in painfully loud noise. Considering Yuki was a faunus, her senses would be keener than his own, which would only make his semblance all the more effective. With the brief second of activating his ability over Vince lunged towards Yuki. Using his aura to power his blows Vince threw a quick right jab followed by a left hook and an upper cut with his right.

Yuki gave a cheeky grin, before she noticed that Vince was gathering aura around him to use his semblance. "Oh bully." She thought, before experiencing what was essentially a flashbang at point blank. Needless to say, her ears were ringing and her vision was blurry after the attack. Heck, she couldn't use her semblance because of the armor on Vince's hands. Either way, the next thing she knew, she was on the floor a few feet back from where she stood before, slowly recovering from disorientation and the three hits her teammate landed. After a few seconds, the fox faunus slowly stood, not wanting to give up.

The three hit combo taught by his instructors back in Atlas was a simple yet efficient way of engaging someone in close quarters, thought its main purpose was to let you easily get someone into a grapple if one couldn't simply beat their opponent into submission. Vince wasn't one to take chances, even in a sparring match with a teammate and recent friend. As to his expectation his semblance did the trick, letting him land his blows without any resistance from Yuki. After landing his uppercut Yuki was sent sprawling to the floor a few feet ahead of him. Knowing full well of the durability of huntsman even trainees such as Yuki and himself, Vince immediately whipped out his weapon and transformed it into its rifle form. Remembering he loaded it with ice dust rounds he aimed at the now rising Yuki, her face Vince noticed was filled with determination. "Admirable trait, not wanting to give up that is." Vince thought as he opened fire on Yuki as she rose from the ground aiming to freeze the faunus in place.

Yuki's eyes widened in surprise as she dodged to the side, the dust rounds barely missing her as they hit the ground behind where she once stood. In the process, she grabbed her own weapon and fired an arrow at Vince in between the intervals of his shots, hoping to disarm him.

"Give it all you got, you two. The grimm won't hold back, so neither should you." He muttered, not wanting to make a spectacle of himself. He did seem to tense up as Ghalan fired off dust rounds. He then pulled out the scroll he had recieved a few hors after initiation and checked his team's aura levels. Yuki's was lower than Vince's, most likely from the three hits the fox faunus hadto endure. The only question was why she hadn't used her semblance yet.

Vince was surprised to see Yuki throwing herself out of his dust round's way, more so considering how she was just recently dazed from his semblance. Naturally Vince kept firing at Yuki despite her successful dodge, hoping to at least land a couple of shots to get that freezing effect he wanted. He didn't want the freezing effect for any tactical advantage at all, if he wanted that he would have rushed her as soon as his fist sent her to the floor. If he was being honest with himself he simply liked how the ice looked, kind of stereotypical considering where he grew up. However, as soon as Vince saw Yuki roll out of his bullet's way he knew that she wasn't going to let his artistic pleasure be achieved. Ditching his hope to land a shot Vince noticed Yuki reach for her weapon. Almost instinctively Vince tossed himself to his left, his weapon switching to it melee form as he tried to roll onto the floor. The arrow Yuki shot was almost as bright as the sun, the powerful bolt striking where Vince's torso used to be and where the edge of his shoulder currently was. The shot had grazed his shoulder pads, the feel of the impact telling Vince that he didn't want to be directly hit by one in the near future. Raising his blade in preparation for future shots Vince rushed Yuki's position.

Yuki noticed Vince's approaching form and decided to use the range the current form of her weapon granted her. The fox faunus then fired more arrows at her teammate, hoping to chip away at the armor he wore. If she could expose enough skin, then she could use her semblance. That's assuming she could get a good hit on him in the first place.

Vince had expected two things from his sparring partner, a volley from her longbow or a configuration change that would lead him into being speared by the tip of her lance. This was something he had mentally prepared himself for, his wrist and hands ready to move accordingly in whichever way he needed them to. Seeing that one of his predictions was right Vince did in fact move as required. Using his blade he deflected more than a few arrows fired from Yuki's bow, the comparatively short distance between them making it easier for Vince to block. Vince was sure Yuki knew the capabilities of her weapon, so he was certain she was planning on something more intricate than what she seemed to be doing, firing her bow at a distance that didn't maximize the efficiency of her arrow's power that is. Though he had blocked most of Yuki's volley her aim was impressive, as expected from an aspiring huntswoman...and a faunus. The few arrows that did hit either grazed Vince's form or were stopped completely by his aura, his armor negating the impact and pain considerably. "Two layers of defense makes up for good security, especially when one of those defenses was made from advanced materials created by Atlas' best scientists," he thought to himself as he closed in on Yuki's position. Pushing himself forward with one of his feet he swung his sword downwards in a diagonal fashion, hoping her current form would make it easier on him.

Yuki was impressed that Vince had managed to block her attacks. Now that she knew the strengths of his armor, she could go through with her backup plan. When her teammate tried to strike at her with his sword, she ducked under the blow. While she was doing this, the fox faunus began the process of switching her weapon back into a lance and used the single prong that she typically used as a support for her previous weapon as a makeshift hook when she moved by him, The hook essentially caught on his leg as he moved past her while the force the human put into his strike propelled him forwards. Needless to say, he fell flat on his face. The fox faunus then placed the tip of her lance on the section of armor that was in between his shoulder blades; her heart pounding from the adrenaline rushing through her body.

Vince's clicked his tongue as he saw Yuki's form move, much to his annoyance he knew his momentum was too great for him to alter his path. Whatever his faunus teammate had in mind he was at her mercy. He had expected a blow to the back of his head or neck, but he knew what her plan was as soon as he felt an object tug at his leg. He had heard what seemed like mechanical noises as his momentum forced his body forward onto the floor in front of him. His current position as of now was bad, horribly disadvantageous in fact. Thanks to his training he had instinctively caught himself in a roll using his right arm to carry the flow, not that it helped that much considering how fast he fell. To Vince's expectation the roll itself was sloppy, and judging from a feeling on his back Yuki had her weapon prepared. "Quick thinking and movement, what a wonderful skill to have," Vince thought to himself as he raised his hands in mock surrender. Generally at this point a weapon placed on someone's back would mean the end of the fight, luckily for Vince a huntsman wasn't an ordinary person. "Yuki, do you know what aura does?" Vince asked with a straight tone, masking whether or not it was literal or sarcastic. Not waiting for an answer Vince quickly twisted his body and threw and aura encased punch at the tip of Yuki's lance, using his aura right after. Once again the area in front of him was filled with a bright light, mimicking the effects moments ago. With a grunt Vince launched himself at Yuki, firmly grasping both of her shoulders before launching his right knee into her stomach. Vince grunted again as he threw his right arm around Yuki's neck and his left under and around her right arm, locking both together by the wrist at the back of Yuki's neck. He threw his right leg behind Yuki's and kicked hard as he pulled with all of his might, using the momentum to throw Yuki on to the ground. Not wasting time the armored huntsman got on top of Yuki and began launching aura infused swings and jabs.

Yuki winced at the bright light and was unable to stop Vince's counterattack. The next thing she knew, she was on the ground and forced to withstand a onslought of strikes. Her weapon had been knocked out of her hand on the first strike and there was no  way she could force him off of her.

Fortunately, Glynda stepped in before the fight progressed to far. That's enough, Mr.Aurelius. The match is over." She said, before turning her attemtion to the rest of the class and pulling up a screen that showed both of the combatants' aura levels. "As you can see, Ms.Ryusaki's aura has gone into the red. In a tournament style fight, this would mean that she would be disqualified."

Draco had watched as Vince carried out his attack and felt his body become tense as his anger grew. This entire scene reminded him of things that had happened to him on Patch that he would rather forget, and the only dfference between then and now was that there was no one there to stop it. For now, he would simply wait to see what Vince did before he decided on his next course of action

Ghalan clapped slightly as he watched the two. He looked at his teammates and said "Great fight you two," he stated simply as his tail swayed slightly. He looked at Draco and stated simply "Calm down dragon boy it was a supervised fight," Ghalan stated with a serious tone. "Be happy they showed off for us," he stated as he slid his sword into it's sheath. Ghalan looked at Glynda slightly as he saw the confidence exuding from her.

Draco was brought out of his thoughts by Ghalan's voice and his body relaxed. "Yeah, I should be. Sorry about that."  He said, feeling a pit form in his stomach. The dragon faunus then gave a two finger salute and a slight smirk to his partner and Yuki. "Either way, not bad you two."

If there was something Vince knew he was adept at doing it would have to be self-control, at least when it came to knowing when to back off. Discipline was something heavily coveted by his instructors in Atlas, Vince would even go far as to say it was the primary subject taught at his combat school. But he was also taught to press an advantage whenever he had one, getting on top of Yuki was the best way for him to do so. He hadn't known Yuki's capabilities or her endurance level, but it was obvious that his sparring partner was skilled and had a lot of potential. There was no going easy with this one, Yuki and Vince were both aspiring to be huntsman and it was their responsibility to learn how to fight like huntsman. Though it was only sparring, his match with Yuki was designed to simulate an actual fight, with such a design Vince thought it best to treat it as one to the best of his abilities...following the guidelines given of course. Yuki always had the option to tap out and give up, there was no shame to it...after all everyone had their limits. But she didn't choose to tap out, a testament to her willpower and durability Vince thought.

She wasn't an opponent he could take lightly, so with every punch he knew he had to give it his all. However, as soon as Vince heard Glynda's voice he ceased his attack and got off Yuki, looking at their aura levels on the screen presented. He took off his helmet, wiping the sweat off his brow as he tried to catch his breath. He was exhausted, using his semblance and aura attacks on top of moving in his armor proved to be physically straining endeavor. With his heavy breaths he looked at Yuki, clearly just as tired as he was if not obviously more. Luckily she seemed unhurt thanks to whatever aura she had left keeping her body free from clear injury. He offered his hand to the downed Yuki with a tired smile. "You, were amazing." He stated earnestly, struggling to keep his arm up as he waited for Yuki's response, taking into consideration his other teammate's views on the spar.

Yuki smiled slightly and took Vince's hand in her own as she stood. "You aren't to bad yourself." She said. "I couldn't even use my semblance at all during the fight." The fox faunus then glanced at the two other faunus that made up team DARC and felt happy knowing that they weren't disappointed in her. She then decided that it would be best for her to head back to her seat and sit down.

Despite the fact that she showed no outward display of such a thing, Glynda was happy that the two teammates didn't let the hatred between their races affect them in any way. Casting a quick glance at the clock showed her that they still had time for one more fight, assuming that it didn't drag on for to long. "Excellent showing from both of you. Thankfully, we still have time for one more fight. Mr.Winchester, feel free to pick your opponent."

The leader of team CDNL gave a smirk that could only be described as arrogant and malicious as he pointed a finger at Draco. "He should do." The teen said. "After all, someone has to put the animal in its place."

Draco glanced at Cardin, but did something that no one expected. He simply laughed off the insult. "You're going to have to try harder than that if you want to get under my skin, C for effort though." With that, the dragon faunus stood and used his semblance to make a grand exit to the changing rooms, which meant that he basically disappeared in a flash of blue lightning as Cardin headed to another changing area.

Yuki's eyes widened as Blitz activated his semblance and practically disappeared. His short interaction with Cardin was also a bit unexpected as well. "I guess he's used to that sort of thing." She thought to herself, frowning as she remembered the scars she had seen on his body. If any other red flags were raised by his upcoming fight, she would most likely take a peek into that journal he had brought.

A few minutes after Cardin came back onto the stage, Draco exited the changing wearing his official combat outfit. His hands were covered by fingerless gloves with armor plating on the back of the hand. A grey longcoat with silver buckles covered a black shirt with a white trim. His pants ended just above his boots and allowed his tail to move freely. His sword hung on his back, but no emblem could be seen on either his weapon or outfit. When he got on the stage, he merely glanced at both the Winchester and Glynda. "I'm ready." He said.

The instructor nodded, and Cardin charged at his opponent when she moved out of the way, When he attempted to strike Draco, though, there was a distinct lack of dragon faunus in front of him, much to his surprise.

Draco sighed as he stood off to Cardin's right, a good yard out of his attack's path. He had used his speed to move around the attempted blow, and he was certainly not impressed by the human's blind charge. "You're going to have to move faster than that if you want to have any chance of hitting me." He said, giving a slight smirk as he dodged out of the way of another strike

Ghalan sighed to himself as he watched his friend looked cocky. He sighed to himself as he looked at Draco  and stated simply and calmly "Finish him off quickly," he shook his head slightly "Your giving him too much time to yep there he goes," Ghalan stated as Cardin took his mace and went to go for Draco's ribs.  Ghalan watched the brute of a man with a bored look on his face. the boy's fighting style was hard hitting but each to predict if the opponent was observant.

There were many things that bothered Vince, conflict instigators like Cardin were one of them. Vince himself didn't know much about the other teams at Beacon academy besides his own, but he stills has heard quite a few things about the leader of team CRDL. Bully, was the word that got thrown around the most, not much to Vince's surprise considering the boy's large physical size. Vince couldn't care less about Cardin's dislike for faunus, which was clear as day compared to other students that attended the school. What bothered him the most was Cardin's immaturity, especially at his age near young adulthood. "Aspiring huntsman? Hardly a title deserved of an individual who acts like a stereotypical movie jock." Vince muttered in annoyance as he found himself a seat next to his sparring partner, not bothering to remove his gear as he wanted to watch how his teammate would fare against the leader of team CRDNL.

It wasn't long before Vince saw both his teammate and Cardin enter the stage, each fully equipped as Vince and Yuki were before them. Cardin was wearing plate armor that covered key parts of his body, a black bodysuit snugly held underneath. Ignis was wearing what Vince could comically comment as a costume from the latest edgy hack and slash video game out on the market. Though Vince had noticed many other students also wore outfits of a similar design, not that there was anything wrong with wearing what one was comfortable with. The battle began under the declaration of Professor Goodwitch, with Cardin initiating with a heavy blow from his weapon. Vince wasn't surprised to see his teammate dodge the blow effortlessly, dodging another as his teammate worded something out. Vince held his hand to his chin, wondering what both fighters had up their sleeves. Vince knew that Cardin's style relied on brute force. something Cardin had quite a lot of. But Vince suspected Cardin's style was utilized out of simplicity, noticing the dexterity in Cardin's hands as he swung. "He has a surprising amount of technique, his attitude aside he shows a decent amount of skill with his weapon." Vince muttered as he continued to watch, wondering how his teammate would do.

Yuki watched the fight with some mild interest. While Cardin may have attempted to land heavy blows on her teammate, the latter was fast enough to avoid him. "I think I get what he's doing. He's trying to basically exhaust his opponent so that he can take him out with one shot." She whispered so that only Vince and Ghalan could hear. Granted, they probably found that out as well, but at least she was starting to understand Draco's fighting style. He seemed different in the foreest, however. He killed grimm withiut any hint of mercy, so maybe this was just him holding back.

As Draco dodged out of the way of Cardin's strike, just barely feeling the metal scratch his side, he began to think about what he had seen so far, which honestly wasn't much. The boy in front of him was strong, that much was certain, but strength wouldn't do him any good if he was outnumbered or weaker than his opponent. The sooner he learned that the better, and he was going to teach him that lesson if it killed him. "Right. Might as well get this over with." The dragon faunus thought, before going on the offensive. When Cardin was attempting to go for another side strike, Draco caught his arm and threw the boy out of the ring by simply twisting his body and using the momentum to carry out the action. The result was a dull thud and a small spiderweb of cracks origionating from the focal point of Cardin's impact. Draco simply stood on the edge of the stage and looked down at his fallen opponent. "Let this be a lesson, Winchester. Brute force is useless if you can't hit your opponent or they're stronger than you. Aside from that, you already failed as a hunter. How do you suppose you'll protect Remnant if you can't see past certain characteristics of an entire race."

Cardin groaned as he stood and glared at the faunus that was lecturing him. "Oh, and you'd die for a human?" He asked.

Draco didn't need to think as his eyes narrowed. "I'd die for a Schnee if I had to. Don't mitake me for a member of the Fang." He said, knowing full well what reputation the family's company held. That brought a strong silence to the room as most of the faunus and humans stared at the dragon in front of them.

"Unfortunetly, that is all the time we have for class. You are all dismissed." Glynda said.

Yuki watched as Draco told Cardin off in the middle of a room full of peaople as if it was nothing, and while his response to the human's own retort was a bit unsettling, it did help her see what kind of person he was. "He certainly speaks from the heart." She said under her breath, before giving a light smile.
