I am obsessed with Animusic and have been since a child. Wanting to show other people it, but not being able to because the internet was crap and I couldn't just bring the DVD to daycare, prompted me to get much better at drawing art, and I would draw the same one over and over and over to try and get it right and capture it properly. I probably would not have gotten into the creative fields as much as I have were it not for Animusic. Turn on Animusic and I'm immediately sucked in.

While I do stim by moving sometimes, if I do not have any other stimulation, like my computer, I will turn into a songbird and whistle/sing almost constantly

When I was a kid and would play with legos, I would put them all in a pile. But then I'd need to find a very specific Lego piece, so I would talk to it in my head like it was alive, begging for it to come out as I searched and searched. I'd also talk (in my head) to the other legos so they wouldnt feel alone.

I have the ability to manually focus and unfocus my eyes, and during monotonous drives from work (miles of nothing), I will sit there playing with my eye blur and sort of zone out my eyes. I'm still aware of the road, of course, the moment something that I'm not used to comes up, its all back to business, but thats rare.

Similarly, I have the ability to flex the Tensor Tympani muscles in my ears on command. So I can make a rumbling sound in my ears whenever I want, and I'll do that to stim or block out other things (which is what that muscle is for! But most people's are automatic)

I am also obsessed with CRT TVs and have too many of them in my room (most of them don't work). One day, I'd love to control one of the tubes myself, but the electronic science is so overwhelming to me that I usually don't get too far. Yet I'll still yoink them off the side of the road if I see them. When I was about 7, I saw an exaggerated 3D animation on HowStuffWorks about, well, how it works, and I thought if I just put a red, green, and blue LED in a cardboard box behind a piece of glass, and some magnetic wire, and then connect it to the wall. My grandparents installed locks over the wall outlets in my room after I blew the breakers a few times . Around 9 or 10, my dad gave me a bunch of junk electronics he found (I loved taking stuff apart) for my birthday, and that night I was messing with a CRT monitor. I wanted to see what would happen when the anode was taken off while it was running. The plyiers I used had no insulation, and I didnt see that the rubber insulator around the anode wide was broken, and so I got a big zap from that. Felt it go in my finger and out my knee. Thankfully it didnt go through my heart! I had to beg my dad crying not to take away all the electronic stuff.

Anywho, thats all I can think of for now that's light hearted and fun.

I have duplicates of certain retro consoles in case one fails or has issues running the game I'd like to play (examples: I have two NES consoles, two Sega Genesis consoles, two SNES consoles, three PS1 consoles, two OG XBOX consoles, and three Wii consoles). Some of these are also different revisions/models of the same console.

Smart idea. Electronic parts do wear out over time. The first things to go are usually electrolytic capacitors. So if your consoles ever start breaking, check those capacitors to see if they are doing what they're supposed to

As for another weird thing about myself: If I'm looking at something embarrassing, either something like my old art, or even second-hand embarrassment, I notice that I don't just cringe physically but also make some sort of stimming sounds, probably in a subconscious effort to distract from the embarrassment. If anyone ever dates me in person they're gonna be in for a weird ride

Okay but which hooves? It is generally seen as a rude gesture to stomp your dominant hind hoof, at least in most equestrian populaces. /j

 

To contribute to the topic:
When I was younger I'd stare at the sun with my eyes closed so that my vision would be shifted to a blue hue (opposite of the red eyelids) because I liked seeing the color blue a lot
