I'm sure there has been an experience in your roleplaying that has made you either laugh, gasp, cry (for the characters), fall in love, or become very confused. Good or bad, I want to hear about it! You don't have to go into details and you can replace names if need be, but what roleplaying has made you remember it always?

 

For example, I used to run a group rp on Kik a couple of years ago. We had a lot of fun, but when I had my character die, everyone in the OOC group chat said they were crying from it in real life. I felt so bad, but I was impressed I had that power!

Yeah I am in a couple of 1X1 RPs with my girlfriend @Celestial Flight and those RPs have been running for a few months now plus their undoubtedly the most memorable RPs so far! It's because we are practically getting to know each other deeply through the RP as our OCs are basically ourselves as ponies plus the RPs are still going strong to this day so they are still active and both of us really want to keep them going for as long as possible!

Ah yes... Foalnapped was the title, waaay back in 2014. It was an RP about a series of foalnappings across Equestia and we had to put a stop to it. This was the RP where I met @JonasDarkmane and where our rivalry began. It was resurrected twice and lasted nearly a year, I tried to resurrect it again since we were nearly done, but that's around the time I began to have a falling out with this site and vanished for about a year, @Melody Word followed afterward, but she never came back. Then the next year our host @The Pixelated Pony disappeared. Now currently only me and Jonas are all that's left of the RP who still come online (excluding those who had very little to do with it) putting an end to any resurrection attempts. To this day I've yet to find an RP as great as that one, sometimes I go back and look at our old posts just to remind myself of the old days.

I've had a fair few memorable moments in various rolplaying games I've been in or run. 

There was a wonderful moment in D&D 5th edition of all systems where my dwarvern cleric (who's based more than a little on Fluttershy, and didn't like violence) was attempting to talk down a dwarf / orc riot. He'd got the dwarves on side, but one of the orcs charged and things were about to get ugly when he dashed in front of the orc and tried to talk it down. "That's going to be hard, and will make it worse if you fail" I was warned by the GM.

Cue natural 20 on persuasion. Riot averted, and said cleric became utterly convinced that there is good in everyone and that there is always a way to talk things out.

 

Another time that was immensely satisfying was when an Imperial Guard officer was leading his mechanised platoon to take a high priority target. Time was of the essence, so he took the risk of moving at full pelt along a road and the lead chimera went straight into an EMP mine that fried its electronics and rendered it a useless hunk of metal. Lacking mine clearing equipment, and having almost certainly been spotted by Tau scout drones, the surviving guardsmen piled onto the remaining transports... and one of the chimeras with a dozer blade proceeded to push the wrecked vehicle across the minefield, triggering all of the magnetic EMP mines and clearing the way for the rest of the platoon. The vehicle was lost, but the Tau were outflanked and the objective was taken with minimal casualties. 

 

Then there was the infamous time when my former stormtrooper took a shot at a point blank target and all four dice came up 1s (1/1296) resulting in a miss. He never heard the end of that one.

@cwhip9's School Days RP is by far my favorite here. I loved having Fudge and Sundae interact with the OC foals and the younger versions of members' OC's. Even made friends with their OC's this way.

An "Alphabet RP" (where each post starts with the next letter of the alphabet) back in summer of 2014 on the MLP Wiki. We were a group of adventurers who never backed down from anything

I had a fun experience. Except this one had to do with more an unintentional game bug due to the physics engine. See, we (me and a few people in a server) were playing a rp game, and this dude fell unconscious from calling a height, and he had a backpack item on. He then sat up, and the game launched him to outer space, some of the people nearby couldn't rp because they were laughing so hard.

That sounds a bit bittersweet to me. Lovely memories, but a shame they did not continue. I do hope you can create more magical adventures!

Makes me miss tabletop now! Those sounded intriguing!

So for the games,there is a wand arena where you cast spell against other users. And the strongest spell wins. It take about of practice  though, i mean of course they want to make it  like your are studying to master your spells. And there making potions games. which also take practices.

the Public chat is where people from all the houses would chat among other. Most people would role play there as if you are the students in Hogwart and just passing by at the hall or whatever you want to make it as.

Then there's private chat room, it's the same as the public but it's only within your  house. like how the students goes to their house and hung out. 

Overall I think that is the best RP I ever done, the people are into it and there no way you can't break their characters. (unless you PM them to chat as friend which they also allowed that) But yeh I just made me feel like I'm a hogwart (harry potter wizardry world) and it also made by JK rowling.

but now they changed it and remove almost everything. So now it just a website to read more of JK's stuff. its sucks.

@TBD Oh yeah, old Pottermore!  I miss getting to go through the chapters and collect stuff... I loved all the art and the little puzzles and I just had to get all of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.

I never did an RP there though; there were always so many people posting at once.

I would probably say that my most memorable RP would be the forum's longest running one, which was the first ever one I did with my good friend @Dynamo Pad, that one was so much fun and went on for ever..almost

oh yeh i forgot to mention that part! I like collecting thing too, such interaction. and agree, but how i do it is I would found a person and then just randomly RP with them. And we would just go back and forth and Ignoring others comment.  And if anyone want to butt in our conversation we'd let them in. The one thing I don't like is how strict they are to what you have to post. Like you basically have to mix with your words in order to be accepted into the post. It's very annoying.

but yeh don't you just miss the old pottermore?

do you play the games there too? and what house and wand do you have?

Yeah but still maybe our RPs may run for longer than Dpad's RP! Like maybe we could keep the shadow of love RP going for like another year or two and it would for sure become the longest running RP on the forums!

That was quite a sweet one. Foalnapped was actually my first roleplay ever . May our rivalry be long and glorious. Perhaps we can come up with a new RP one day. We did kinda continue it a little bit, did we not? Was there not some kind of origin story that had been planned or something along the lines of event taking place afterward? I have a memory that tells me that Catsle was part of that as well (I think he went by a different username by that time) I hope I am not misremembering. 

 

My most memorable roleplay has to be Foalnapped with @Snowflake Frostflame but also all RPs I have ever had with @Randimaxis . Me and Randi started in another RP and then kept on RPing with the same characters meeting again and again until our greatest RP which was Sombra's Shadow (but then the characters that Randi had roleplayed with Rave switched as he introduced his character, Harcourt). Unfortunately, that RP died as well as Foalnapped and therefore never got resolved. 

 

@Snowflake Frostflame and @Randimaxis (the character Harcourt) now that I think about it, you both have big beefs with Rave

You're remembering correctly, though that story isn't part of my backstory anymore... but foalnapped is, just altered slightly.

I've never played an RP online. I've been tempted a few times to try it but I always chickened out. I have however played D&D extensively, just using all the lovely old books, modules, dragon dice, paper and pencils. It would be hard to pick the best moments from the years I spent in that amazing world, but I can name Tomb of Horrors as my favorite module, and the final battle with Acererak the Demi-Lich at the end. We lost most of our hirelings, most of which had their souls sucked out my the Lich, but we finally prevailed. Solving the riddle that led us deeper into the tomb was a great highlight and gave our brains a nice workout. It was very atmospheric and scary since our characters weren't up to the recommended levels of experience when we went in. There was another, later module called The Duchy of Tenh, which was a turning point for our characters and group, when we really started to understand how to broaden their personalities into something more real than mere cutout characters. My character started to pick up most of her bad habits on that adventure, and she went downhill from there, but it was an interesting ride.
