general Do you believe in Life Reincarnation?

TBD

Recommended Posts

As many of you  heard or are familiar with past life/ life reincarnation do you believe in it? Do you think it's possible? Many would believe that when we die, we either disappeared or go to heaven. So how about being "recycled"? Have you guys ever felt something connecting to you like a lose memories but cannot put in words? Example do you deeply feel connected with a specific different times era, places or objects for some unexplained reason?

Here is a basic idea of what a past live(s) is if case you are not familiar with it.

https://lonerwolf.com/past-lives-soul-reincarnated/

If you guys have a story or know a story relating to past lives, feel free to share it if you want to.

Many would be skeptical about this. If people wish to go to a session to regain their past lives memories a psychologist will be hypothesising you to guide you down the memory lane.  Of course you wouldn't know if they are justing messing with your mind for $$ or if it's actually true. So that is the cons side about past lives. But is there other ways to regain it without going to session?

Short answer is yes, long answer is that I need to do some spiritual self-searching to find the long answer.

It makes the most sense to me that my afterlife is literally just another life, but I can't see myself really belonging in any of the religious/spiritual groups that take it up as a core belief. Most notably Buddhism.

Yes. I believe that in Equestria's far past, my soul lived as a certain dragon with a dragon wife. We had a green and purple egg, but fate had it, we were going to die/disappear. If nothing was done, our child would perish. Then a red bespectacled Unicorn showed up from the future to make sure our offspring would be left in good hooves. You can guess where this is going.

This is what happens irrespective of one's religious or spiritual beliefs. Every atom in your body came from another star going boom.

Of course when we get to Deep Time this may go out the window. Then you have the concept of thought being energy and information (physics ... think the black hole paradox and Hawking).

Anyway, I don't believe in a metaphysical reincarnation. I don't believe our consciousness is ephemeral either.

I don't believe in it at all. I don't believe in anything paranormal or anything like  that. I'm not an expert on it or anything, but wouldn't the vast majority of life that dies be reencarnatied as bacteria or something? There's just too many questions about it and no evidence of it, so I don't have any reason to believe in it.

I tend to think we get one life here and then move on to the next world. The idea of remembering a past life could have something to do with memories being passed down genetically from our past relatives, and we could be remembering their lives through our genes, or even spiritually. I'm not going to assume that's the only answer, but that's the one that sounds most believable for me.

I personally believe that every human being is composed of a tripartite (three-part) soul, which is the belief of some of the early Christian church fathers. It's the idea that every human is composed of a body, a soul, and a spirit. While I believe that we move on to an afterlife after death, I suppose I can't rule out the possibility that something besides the body gets left behind on Earth after death. Maybe the eternal spirit moves on, but the soul stays, eventually finding its way into another body with a different spirit.

Wait, spirit and soul are two different thingd? Please explain the differences between body, soul, and spirit clearly, because to me Spirit and Soul are one and the same.

in ancient times the terms were used more strictly, the difference being a much darker line the Indus Valley, which is the difference I believe in. Basically the spirit is seperable from the body, but the soul will not leave until the death of the physical body comes to pass

I don't believe in it. I don't believe in anything paranormal, since there isn't any proof of it, so I don't see a reason to believe in that sort of thing.

I'm giving out my honest opinion on this:

I believe in reincarnation as our souls move on to different universes to begin life anew. Since there is evidence we are living in the multiverse, there are an infinite amount of possibilities on where and what we will be in the next life.

The body is simply the physical body. It's what can be directly observed. Spirit refers to one's spiritual essence that would move on to an afterlife if there is one. Soul can refer to the same thing, but in some traditions it refers to a very similar but ultimately separate entity that cohabits with the spirit. Think of, say, a marriage or some other monogamous union: the couple is comprised of two separate people, but they can function as a unit and, if they so choose, live together. Likewise, my view rests upon the concept that the spirit and soul join together to form a unit that lives together within the physical body.

Basically, this:

I don't believe in re-incarnation, but there is one theory surrounding it that either the Romans or Greeks (can't remember which one) believed in has always fascinated me since I read it in a textbook at school as a kid. Then again, I've never been able to vouch for its legitimacy since in every internet search I've done, but I still think the concept is pretty neat. It went something like this, if I can remember it correctly:

When you die, your mind and soul separate from the body, with the mind going to the moon to search for a new host, and soul going to the sun to cleanse itself for the next vessel it occupies. Both then meet back on the moon and then descend back to earth into a newly born child, where they will gain the wisdom of the past life but be an entirely new entity with a soul to claim as their own.

I may not believe in re-incarnation or spirituality, but it's always a fun thing to speculate on regardless.

Being Catholic, I do not believe in this (but I'm not going to yell at you if you do).  Besides, Heaven sounds way more awesome than living on Earth again (even if it was during my dream time-period of the 1950s).

However, I do have this theory that I used to be Twilight, but the difference here is this is still be the same life.  It's the same life in that a spell was cast on me/Twilight, that suppressed my memories, transported me to Earth, and merged me with..essentially the pony side of me.  This theory also differs from reincarnation in the sense that (if I'm even right about this theory [which I'm probably not, lol]) eventually I'll end up turning back into Twilight (though I don't think the memories will come back until sometime after I've already turned back into her physically).

(I know this sounds wacko coming from a Catholic, and that's kinda why I'm not 100% sold on my own theory. :P)

Not really.

Because why would it happen at all? What is the purpose? Who or what instigated it? What chooses which humans are reincarnated as who, what, where, when, why and how and vise versa?

There's no real logic behind it all, unless you go the literal scientific route, then yes, the energy and matter that lead to our existence at the start of the universe will be converted and imparted into new states and forms through cell breakdown, conversion and growth in new forms.

In the mindset of Salarians from Mass Effect, there just seems to be more that needs to be done in this world to only live here once.  I think our spirits travel the spirit realm for a while but comes back to be something/someone else.

I think there is evidence for the possibility, but I dont think I believe in any of the current existing religions take on it. Sure there is an afterlife as I believe it at the moment, but as for reincarnation, I think it is both possible but needing more evidence to it before I can make any statements on it
