gaming Games/Series you want to see on Nintendo Switch

The Switch is a neato machine. A portable console that can potentially deliver games with high quality, it already has done that too. Some games were ported over amazingly, while some others like WWE 2K18 were a disaster because of incompetence. Still, the good ports show that a lot is possible on this little machine.

Are there any games or series you want to make an appearance on the Switch? Games that you would love to have on a portable system like this?

I would like to see a GTA game make a debut on the Switch. A game where one could boot it up, cause a bit of havoc, do some missions, and every the open world while on the couch. Also, Wario Ware, but that series has been needing a new entry for years.

It's been going around that SSB might be going on the Switch, which I think makes sense and it's something that I would be excited for but I don't think it's going to be in 2018 or early 2019. (And is LoZ:BotW good? I'm not sure if I should get it or not)

- Definitely gonna agree with GTAV, Nintendo missed out on the franchise several times but with LA Noire it seems Rockstar is dipping their toes, maybe there's a chance...in fact the guy who originally leaked LA Noire for Switch says it's coming
- On top of that...maybe some Bully and Red Dead too?
- Considering how much Square seems to love the Switch, I'd love to see them finally put in the mainline Final Fantasy games there. I think XV might be a inevitability, but maybe give the games the Nintendo platforms missed out as well, like VII-X and XII(Fuck XIII)
- Devil May Cry especially considering Capcom's expressed desire to bring games that never came on Nintendo platforms
- We have yet to have a competent portable Call of Duty and with the Switch having all of the buttons necessary, it'd be cool to see them give it a chance without any compromises gameplay wise
- Wii U was the only console outside of Playstation to receive a Yakuza game, but since it was the Wii U, it sorta tanked. However with how well the Switch is doing, I'd say it's worth giving another shot
- Persona Q did really well on the 3DS, so I believe the Persona franchise has an audience among Nintendo fans. Unless Sony has an exclusive contract, I see no other reason why they can't
- Ditto with Kingdom Hearts, especially with how most of them have released on Nintendo Platforms in the past, no other reason why they can't at least try with the collections, maybe even KHIII?
- Obligatory F-Zero
- Obligatory Golden Sun
- How about a Starfox game that isn't filled with poorly implement gimmicks....and isn't a billionth Starfox 64 remake for a change?
- Fuck, you're porting Bayonetta 1 and 2, throw in Wonderful 101 too

I want to see another entry in the Wario Ware series but not repeating the blunder that was Game & Wario. They should go back to what made this particular series a delight and make the necessary improvements without going overboard with specific gimmicks. As much as having a new F-Zero would be fantastic, Miyamoto has admitted that they don't have any new ideas for the franchise--essentially they feel it's run its course. Super Mario Maker for Switch... It needs to happen but this time add in additional templates such as from Super Mario Bros. 2--the western version that was Doki Doki Panic--and maybe from the Super Mario Land trilogy.

Hopefully Steven Universe Save The Light will end up getting ported to the Switch in the future.

I mean the art style doesn't look too complex, so it's not like the system couldn't handle the game, plus the developers have mentioned that they want to get it on the Switch anyways, so there's that.

a version or remake of wii sports, I mean, it seems possible to do since the joy cons are basically wii controllers, and I agree with prospekt, I would love to see an animal crossing game for the switch.

though.. I dunno if it will ever happen but... sims for the switch?

If a possibility power-wise (not sure it is) Kingdom Hearts III for sure. Square-Enix has promoted the Kingdom Hearts series on the Nintendo systems multiple times, and KH fits very well alongside Nintendo's image. It makes no sense for KHIII to release on Xbox (where no KH title has been released in any way, shape or form) but not Nintendo... Unless it's a matter of power, which it could be.

Animal Crossing needs a new title, and it needs to be at least as good of a sequel as New Leaf. No "make some major improvements, while dumbing it down in other ways" (Wild World) or..."'add nothing of value whatsoever and screw up so much of what made Animal Crossing great from sheer laziness" (City Folk). It's been five years since New Leaf released in JP. It's about darn time we hear about the next Animal Crossing.

Paper Mario needs to return to its former glory. After Nintendo brought back exploration to the 3D Mario series with Odyssey (something that I never expected), maybe there's hope... Maybe they do listen to us?

Revive Golden Sun! Not happening, I know... You don't have to tell me.

A NEW Super Smash Bros. Not a port. For the love of god, stop with the ports. SSB4 fell along the lines of technically great, but not revolutionary, not inspired. A big part of the stagnation that Nintendo had fallen into in recent years, but have begun to really break out of with BoTW and Odyssey. Not that I know what to do with SSB, but I really want to see a return of the story mode. I want the alternate movesets to return but to go much further in depth. The fact that only like Palutena got true alternate moves to choose was lame. Sakurai plays too much favorites with his franchises.

They already skipped releasing The Sims 4 on the Switch.

Not that The Sims 4 is any good as a The Sims game, but... things are not looking so bright either way. Personally I just have to accept that I'll have to go with PC for The Sims series. It's so much better on the PC anyway, because of mods and custom content.

The early Final Fantasy games would be fantastic. If they ported FF I-VI i would get a switch right away. I would love to be able to play those games on the go. I haven't been able to finish all of them or play some for a long time so the portability would make it great for putting time into them!

They would simply screw over the Switch version in terms of content like they did the Xbox One and PS4 versions. They (sorta) play fine and look good, but in terms of content, they ripped the game to shreds for the sake of selling all of that day one DLC. No Gallery was a disastrous move. This is EA though, it all makes sense there.

I was actually thinking this exact thing before. Would be an awesome idea, especially since Mii's still exist on the Swtich.

Outside of some Nintendo franchises like Star Fox and F-Zero, I would absolutely LOVE IT if the Dark Souls trilogy made it to the Switch; like some rumors have said is a possibility. Of course Bloodbourne won't happen, and Demon's Souls is likely out of the question, but come on! Remastered Dark Souls? I'm game!

I'm waiting for a proper sequel to Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Not just some mobile game with relatively limited features. I'd like to see it on the Switch.

AW Man! You beat me to the response! No offense but you stole my answer! Now you own me something, anything!

Anyway,  To be honest, I hated the Animal Crossing that you HAD to play on a console like Gamecube and Wii. As good as the games were, it was incredibly easy to missed bugs and fishes and events that happened at certain times due to being out of the house and in school on a daily basics. Animal Crossing on mobile made it much easier to take the game with me and put aside an half-hour to an hour each day AND not miss any time sensitive events.

I agree. My favorite games in the series were Wild World and New Leaf. I just wish we could have another mobile version that isn't as watered-down as Pocket Camp.

Well, given the Switch's main pro is its ability to be played on a TV as well as be played like a handheld so logically, shouldn't they make a game that takes advantage of that fact.

Apology Accepted.

And you don't have to worry. I haven't touched pocket camp and don't planned to.

I still got New Leaf. The bad news is that I lost the game data last year, so all my years of putting in the effort are going to have to start anew.:(

I officially restarted in November 2017 (A month and a half ago). Hopefully those bells you sent me can help me get back on my feet.Well, I won't focus on buying the new furniture that I won't be decorating my house with. That should give less to worry about.

Is that the case? I had no clue. I thought that The Sims 4 on consoles was pretty much equivalent to the base game on PC, or that's what I've heard. I heard that they're also releasing EPs as DLC. But I don't really know anything. I just know not to be surprised because EA is horribly greedy with The Sims, even on PC. It would cost a ridiculous amount of money to own all of the EA content for The Sims 3, and the prices have not come down on the store's content, even over three years after the release of The Sims 4.

Plus The Sims 4 was a victim to EA's greed from the very beginning. Once again Pets and Seasons are held back to Expansion Packs. The Sims 4 is the most lacking base game ever. It didn't even have toddlers, and then went back on so much of what they added with The Sims 3, so no more story progression, open world... Gosh, I heard the game doesn't even have service sims to call (like for repairing appliances). I can't even with The Sims 4. I liked the gender identity and expression options I saw they added with a patch some time ago, but there's just nothing else of value with The Sims 4.

Pretty much all the Zelda games, or at least most of them, anyway. :D

I'd love to see a Luigi's Mansion 3 for the Switch at some point. Not only is the first game criminally over-hated, but the 2013 sequel is a true gem for the 3DS, on par with the likes of Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds in my opinion. I'd hate to see the Luigi's Mansion series fall back into obscurity without another game for however many more years, and it would be truly thrilling to witness the series flourish again with a third installment, both on a console and on the move.

Almost the exact same sentiment applies to a sequel to Kid Icarus: Uprising, a game that I believe may be of an even higher quality with it's unique and engaging gameplay. That game in particular, blew me away with not only how it played, but how original, humorous and charming it's humor is. It truly is one of the finest games on the 3DS, and it would be a phenomenal choice to bring a sequel to the Nintendo Switch.

Finally, a more unlikely request, but one that would be truly amazing should it ever be fulfilled, would be a new Advance Wars game, a series that, when compared to the likes of Fire Emblem, has been unbelievably underused in recent years. Filled to the brim with charm, style and substance, this inclusion to the Switch would give gamers who desire something a little more intellectual and tactical something to look forward to.

As much as I'd adore for a multitude of games, old and new, to find their way onto the Switch, these three in particular would be truly magnificent if any one of them were ever to be announced for the console.

I've never heard of the original Luigi's Mansion being overhated.

At worst, it seems to be an underrated cult-classic.

When it was first released it was indeed overhated for "not being a proper Mario game"

Nowadays though people have wised up and given it the appreciation it deserves

  • 4 weeks later...

A remaster of Metroid Prime Trilogy before Prime 4 comes out, with better visuals, and maybe an option to switch between the original controls and motion controls.

I would love this too, these are what got me into Metroid in the first place. The first Metroid Prime is one of my favorite video games off all time, and I would love to play it portable.

In terms of series on the Switch I'd like to see, definitely the Fallout Series, since I know it's possible, with Skyrim being on the Switch.

I'd also like to see

  • All of the Resident Evil HD ports, especially 4, and 7.
  • The Witcher 3
  • The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, and some of the other previous games be ported to the Switch. I think Skyward Sword would look amazing in HD.
  • Borderlands Series
  • Kingdom Hearts Complete HD Remixes
  • I would love an HD re-release of the Mass Effect Trilogy. Mass Effect 3 was released on the Wii U, with touch screen support, so it can work, and I know EA needs something to repair the massive damage done to the series after Mass Effect Andromeda, and I think this would be a good start at least. (I also would like to see Andromeda on the Switch as I did kind of like it.:D)
