music Favorite Artists

I looked through the threads in the past few months and didn't see something exactly like this.

Post your favorite artists here and if you want to, post your favorite songs from them.

I personally have a very diverse music taste, I used to be into Dubstep hardcore but nowadays it's mostly Metal and Vaporwave.

For my favorite artists now, it would have to be Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, and Slipknot for Metal.

For Vaporwave, it would of course have to be Cat system Corp, waterfront dining, and Vektroid.

Hello there friend, I am going to enlighten you with the gods of metal. Behold.....Insomnium.

I only listen to metal, anything close to this is what I'm all for.

Oh cool, you listen to Melodic Death Metal.

I'm personally a Metalcore guy but this is really nice.

Ah! Metalheads UNITE! *horns*

But yeah, like my comrade @Rawzy I am really into; especially recently as I've been trying to branch out into other subgenres like doom metal, death metal, melodic death, metalcore, and even some black metal with bands like Amederia and Hyperion. That said, my favorite genres tend to be power metal, symphonic, and progressive with bands like Rhapsody of Fire, Sonata Arctica, Galneryus, Unleash the Archers, Orden Ogan, Twilight Force, Olympos Mons, Epica, Kamelot, Therion, Nightwish, and others typically being ones I go to. My favorite, however, is Symphony X who started with progressive elements with a lot of their more recent material being a bit more heavy.

Aside from metal artists, I typically love anything classical, with artists like Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Prokofiev, J. S. Back, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, and others being amongst my favorites. And to expand with the orchestra, I love film/TV/game scores as well; with James Newton Howard being my standout favorite.

When it comes other styles of music, my favorite artists are Streetlight Manifesto (punk/ska), Tech N9ne (rap), Marty Stuart (country), and Ian van Dahl (trance).

Of course; the greatest singer of all time; Frank Sinatra! <3

I love marshmello, kill the noise, Snails, Jauz, San Holo, Datsik, excision, gramatic, party favor, knife party, Ganja white knight, pretty lights, zeds dead. Mostly heavy bass laser fed dance music. I go to a lot of festivals and club raves. Not a bass nectar fan though. I've seen him live many times, he's just a bit repetitive for my taste and attracts a lot of broskis.

  1. Billy Joel
  2. Elton John
  3. Phil Collins

^That's my holy trinity of singer/ songwriters xD

But I have so, so many more that I absolutely adore, it just wouldn't feel right if I didn't mention them too. The following artists/ groups are in no particular order::

Pathfinder and Frank Sinatra.

My consciousness was not ready, but subconsciousness shrugged its arms and walked away, as if it knew all along.

Myself?

Linkin Park #1 for 17 years now.

Shakira Mebarak Isabel Ripoll

Syrex. And tons of Nightcore.

Two Steps from Hell and their associates.

Everything else.

In no particular order:

Margaret Whiting,

Jack Jones,

Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme,

Frank Sinatra,

Micheal Douglas,

Bobby Darin,

Ethyl Merman,

Olivia Newton John.

Non-singers would have to include the greatest of them all, composer John Williams.

I can't pick specific songs because there are literally hundreds, most of which are superb.

Wanting to revive this old thread of mine to add onto the list I have.

Found a new band called Angelus Apatrida.

Iron maiden is also really good too along with Megadeth.

There's several I like. Garth Brooks is my favorite country artist. For rock, it's Green Day. In classic rock, it's Aerosmith. I've got some more, but these are the main three.
