ManaMinori 4,145 December 12, 2018 Share December 12, 2018 Perhaps it's sleep deprivation that gets me thinking about topics like this, but has anyone wondered why it is that ponies don't suddenly combust when around Luna? There are literal super heated balls of space gas and plasma in her mane! And does she always smell like burnt hair from the stars in there? How hot do you guys think her hair is? Its not really a 'hologram', its more an extention of her magic. Same with Celestia. When they gave their magic to Twilight, their mane's stopped moving. Not sure why Cadance's and Twilight's mane's dont do that, maybe its age or their control of magic
Ganondorf8 11,297 December 12, 2018 Share December 12, 2018 I just view Luna's mane as having a special effect applied to it that doesn't cause any harm but instead is there to be flashy.
Mirage 24,762 December 12, 2018 Share December 12, 2018 Her mane and tail simply reflect the night sky perpetually, like a magic mirror. Celestia's mane I always thought reflected the land, sea and blue sky. 1 “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing you have received--only what you have given.”

Do you know how big those super heated space balls of plasma and gas are? If that's what was actually in her mane, that much mass packed into such a tiny space you would end up with black holes. Midnight Solace 5,132 December 12, 2018 Share December 12, 2018 I thought as the two most powerful princesses, they both have wavy hair because of the amount of magic they possess. It's also possible that this effect only applies for naturally born Alicorns. ~Twilight x Midnight~ Ask Midnight I'm not a bad pony...

EpicEnergy 23,211 August 3, 2020 Share August 3, 2020 It's more of a magical mane than an actual galaxy in her mane. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
