Early Sunsets 2,107 April 5, 2019 Share April 5, 2019 The only person I've told is my close friend, and he reacted positively (though he's a good person, so I kind of expected it) 1 Rainbow Dash Fanatic "You stroll down memories of younger, brighter times 'cause you never realize what you've got till you leave it all behind." ~ dBPony "So we’re here at the end, did we teach you well, my friend? SharpWit 2,669 April 5, 2019 Share April 5, 2019 Most people don't seem to care. In my step dad's case, he's more understanding of people liking this show than Pokemon One of my coworkers is a huge fan of the TMNT franchise so we could be somewhat understanding of each other. Although she was a fan of the newer TV series and hadn't seen the movies from the 90's which had me dumbfounded, but considering all of the other forms of media it's taken as well as MLP that I've not indulged in, I'm in the same boat by default. Scootaloo17 1 April 5, 2019 Share April 5, 2019 I haven’t told anyone I watch MLP, but it’s up to you if you think it’s important. I’m a new member and I think being here for one another is what embraces the fandom for MLP because i don’t think you’ll be able to have a long conversation about the show with them like the people you can here. JetPistol 32 April 5, 2019 Share April 5, 2019 I tell people on the internet all the time, because I crave attention and negative reactions are usually more entertaining than positive ones. Also zero risk is involved. IRL, I only tell very close friends and family members because I am fully aware that people knowing you're a ponyfag "in the REAL" is likely to get you lynched in the street, yo. Dreambiscuit 9,819 April 14, 2019 Share April 14, 2019 So far only positives. Most people don't really care if they don't follow the show or know about it, and the rest think it's cool. I've never had any problems with negativity. I sometimes wear MLP t-shirts and very often get fun and interesting comments from people of all ages. Someone actually stopped me when I was on vacation once and asked to take a picture of my shirt!
Cash In 22,351 April 15, 2019 Share April 15, 2019 (edited) Most reactions I've gotten are alright. It's mostly along the lines of "Oh, that's neat," which I'm not complaining about, mind you. Partialgeek514 5,011 May 8, 2019 Share May 8, 2019 I usually don't get bad reactions. Totally Nyx 36,053 May 27, 2019 Share May 27, 2019 I don't go out of my way to mention it unless the topic comes up on its own. That said, I find that people's reaction seems to be based on my own. If I say I watch it and sound embarrassed about it then people treat it like it's a bad thing. When I own it and have no reason to be ashamed for it then people tend to be cool with it, even people who hate the show are good with my confidence in it. 3 Signature made by @Sparklefan1234 (Thank you!)
