A freaking bug on my code is messing up with my program big time. The worst part is that after checking it line by line, there seems to be no reason at all for it to malfunction.

Confused. 

Turns out the thing was asigning nil values to all the non-1 valued spaces in the matrix that were bellow the vertical top row, making it impossible for the AI to move around those nils (since it was expecting 1's to jump onto the spaces). It also made it impossible for it to turn those nils into either 1or 0 because it expected 2's but these things were nils. 

Is extra weird because at the beginning it sets all spaces in the matrix as 2 and then it picks a few spaces to turn into ones (one is the starting point and the others are destinations). Put a lot of debug messages and I discovered it didn't make sense . I couldn't find when it turned the 2s into nills. I mean, it did turn all nils to 2 at the beginning, but at some random point it reasigned nil to the 2s. Was really odd. I had to tell the thing to turn all non-1s into 2s before it started moving in the matrix.

Disappointed. I had to use force against a family member because they refused to understand words. Violence is regrettable. And there should be not a justification for it, not even to remind people of the importance of mutual respect. Especially to those who employ psychological abuse to control others.
It happened before, and every time I had to resort to such methods, I felt great disappointment. Some people think that my inclination for dialogue and patience is an exploitable weakness, without realizing that is exactly because of my violent tendencies that I pursue mutual understanding so eagerly. But, sadly, such is the only way some people are willing to understand.
