One just for the fanart and endless possibilities of stories they can be incorporated in, but also from a logical stand point it could work. The main concern being how did the daughter of the heads of the School of Friendship learn to be reluctant to friendship. Easy, in fear of turning into their parents Starlight and Sunburst didn't baby Luster or plan her entire life around their life and just let her grow up as she did. The only thing they did was send her off to the one pony they could trust, the pony who gave them all their better opportunities in life, Princess Twilight. If anypony knew how to deal with a pony gifted in magic and reluctant to friendship in an outside environment, it was her. They would just wait until it was time to enroll her in the School of Friendship and not force her into it. Or she can just be a random Canterlot unicorn but then you miss out on all this: Spoiler Fantastic 5 One of my most ambitious role playing experiences. She has a beautiful color scheme and a nice voice. I don't think she is starlights daughter, there is really no strong support to that theory in the episode. Unfortunately for her, there's not much substance to her character since she was introduced in the very last episode of MLP as well as an episode that wasn't focused on her. She's a toned down Sunset for me, and while other ponies might see her as Twilight at the beginning of the show, in my opinion she was more against making friends than Twilight was. Seriously, just give the two an OC kid - Luster is more likely (which is to say not very likey) to be Sunset's or Celestia's. And that's assuming her position is down to nepotism in the first place - can't she have got in on talent? So yeah, besides disliking the above headcanon strongly, I also question whether she should have been a unicorn. Years ago, Twilight never gave a thought about friendship, while Luster watched Twilight rule Equestria virtually on her own with Spike and equated friendships fading away with them not being necessary. She’s an excellent representation of a new Twilight without being Twilight. Sure, both of them now have their own distinct personalities, but they both started out as Twilight clones in a sense.
