Trilby happily hugs back. "Thank you for saying that, Shadow. I promise, we'll try again some other time."

They continue to walk until they arrive at Shadow's apartment. He walks her up to the door. "Well, I guess this is it. But beside the club, the rest of the date was nice, right? I had a great time with you." Trilby says, gazing at Shadow and hoping she feels the same.

What Pencil doesn't know is that Elusive Fact's report had played on television and radio moments ago. She might not have heard it because she was too busy tending to things at the museum, but other ponies did. And soon, ponies were starting to come in! There was a line of potential artists, wanting to be seen and heard, hoping the new curator will pick them! In fact, one of Pencil's staff members has to tell her about the long line forming.

@SolidFire7, @Kronos the Revenant

Final steps up first and waves. He's a young unicorn child in a waistcoat. "Hi! I'm not going to be here long, but I learned this place is called Friendshire. It's kind of a nowhere town, if I understand things correctly. My name is Final Premonition, but don't be surprised if anyone calls me Finn. I liked your dance, Mister... Uhh?" Final asks, searching for his name.

"Fire. Phoenix Fire, young Sir. Friendshire, you say?"

He looks around, noticing the strange... Cyborg at the foal's side.

"... And, who's this?"

His sword is ready to be pulled out by hoof in a microsecond

”I could be asking you the same thing, stranger,” Kronos replied to the changeling, “I’m only gonna ask one more time: who are you and what’s your business here?”

His suit visibly hissed out some air as he went from tense to relaxed at regular intervals, seemingly ready to strike at a moment’s notice.

This one looks skilled, a voice told Kronos, We best exercise caution.

“It was fun going out with you today, Trilby” Shadow approved, opening the door of her apartment. She stood in the doorway, staring at her coltfriend with serenity and gratitude, “Hey Trilby. Maybe if you have time, we can visit the school and check on the foals”

Final ducks, rolls, and leaps around Phoenix, striking a few fake fighting poses and throwing in a few hi-yah's. "What do you say, Kronos? Should I use my time travel magic on him? Should I? Huh?"

Obviously, this little kid is no threat to anypony. His antics are more silly than serious.

"Well, it's the afternoon, so school has been dismissed for the day by now. But sure. I'd love that. We'll do it real soon." Trilby says. He locks eyes with Shadow, slowly approaching with a knowing smile. He's going in for a kiss, or at least he is hoping for one. It's up to Shadow if she wants to do that or not.

Shadow was at first confused as Trilby leaned towards her, his mouth slightly open. However, she realized he was going to kiss her. Having not kissed any pony- or creature for years, it was a challenge for her. She opened her mouth, sometimes with her tongue lifted or even making a look as if taking a bite of a food. She decided to imitate him as a last result. She leaned in and kissed Trilby. In the mouth.

Silver gave a small smile to the mail clerk as he left his letter with her. He wasn’t entirely sure how reliable the town’s mail system was, considering it wasn’t even on the map, but he had to at least try. Every place he had visited, he had always sent off a letter to his friends and family back home to tell them about his findings. Since he had made the decision to stay, Silver felt that the least he could do was let them know. Of everypony there, he would miss his younger sister the most. But he knew he couldn’t stay there, and she couldn’t have come along. He decided that one day he would have to go back and visit one day.

Having dropped off his letter, the kirin made his way through town until he came across what appeared to be Kronos, along with a couple other ponies he hadn’t met before. Curiosity took over from there, as he galloped over to where the three were at.

“Kronos!” He called as he arrived amongst them. “Who’s the foal?” He asked before turning his attention to the changeling. “And what’s this… bug… thing? I’m sorry but I’ve never met anything quite like you before. What’s your name, and what are you, exactly?” He asked, somewhat confused. He had travelled around much of Equestria, but this was a new one for him.

"I see and that's pretty interesting. We have races in Equestria, but they're more for derby races. Not sure if it's the same or different from where you're from. Although, the only other kind of races I've seen is if you're a pegasus pony and you're flying around a track. I've mostly played Mareio Kart, so I can understand the whole better traction, turning control and such when it comes to kart vehicles." Dynamo explained, while nodding at Thundy's remark. "Oh, I don't doubt that when you put it that way. With how powerful the engine is, it seems like you can win the competition." He says, raising an eyebrow as he mentioned the downside. "I'm guessing by the mention of wheel spin, then that means you'd probably spin out on the course? Either that, or the wheel spin would cause you to not have good traction control?"

I sensed it earlier, but now it's obvious that something is wrong with Trilby, I think it might be some kind of curse. Because of it they did not go to the jazz club after all. The impostor Sundae is now alone, and I keep tracking her. Where is she going now?

Meanwhile, Tree Song knocks on Sundae's door.

"It'll definately put a damper on your start if you mash the throttle without the traction control system on. Fortunately, there is a system I use called launch control, in which I set the engine to a specific RPM. This spools up the turbo so that way, I could get that almost perfect launch off the line every time. On dirt, I have to set the RPM to lower to prevent wheelspin off the line." Thundy explained.

"No, please! Anything but thhhhaaaaattttt...!"

Shrinking to the ground, he pretends to disappear, then suddenly does, vanishing in a burst of green flames and leaving a small rock in his place.

Reappearing, he quietly giggles, then calms down.

"I'm sorry for that. Name's Phoenix Fire and, as I think you already figured out, I'm a Changeling. The reason for this... Quirky disguise, is because I've traveled all over the place, and so I decided to be more unique. Also, could you convince, Kronos, it was? That I'm not dangerous?"

As Pencil finished up the sketches, she noticed water Pencil watching from the corner of the office. At first, real Pencil thought it was rather cute. She soon bared a look of concern when she noticed the forlorn frown on water Pencil’s face. She was about to ask what was wrong, but she knew it would be hard to understand water Pencil with sign language alone. She thought a moment, then began writing on a large sheet of paper.

“I wrote the entire alphabet on here. You can tell me what’s wrong by pointing at the letters you need to use,” she explained, holding out the sheet of paper. “Just don’t actually touch the paper, though, or the letters will smear off,” she quickly added.

@Samurai Equine

A staff member came in and alerted Pencil about a huge line that was stretching from here to outside of the museum. Pencil wasn’t sure how she didn’t notice that before, perhaps she was too caught up in her work. She motioned for the staff member to let the ponies inside the office in an orderly fashion.

“Have them come in one at a time, please,” she told the staff member. She assumed that having ponies come in one at a time would be an obvious thing to do, but she wanted to state that mainly so ponies wouldn’t be tempted to squeeze themselves in the room all at once.

"I want friend." The water version of Pencil spelled out with the letters. The water version of Pencil wanted to go look for Chelsea herself, but knew that it wouldn't be fair to leave the real Pencil at the museum, especially with all the guests that were coming in.

Pencil was confused at first, but then realized that water Pencil wanted another water companion. Patting water Pencil on the shoulder, she said

“No problem! I can message Chelsea right now,”

She wrote a letter with a brief message then folded it gently so as not to mess it up. She then leaned back and prepared herself for a messaging spell. She didn’t have a spell for Chelsea’s address yet, but if she tried hard enough, she could send the letter to her relative location. She was most likely out in the fields somewhere, so if she could remember what the field looked like, she could just send it there.

Pencil grunted as light pink swirls enveloped the small letter. She envisioned the field, picturing the soft green grass and the wide open spaces. When she felt that she had a full image in her mind, she teleported the letter immediately. Pencil sat back in her chair and took a long, deep sigh.

“I hope that worked, that spell put a lot of strain on my horn,” she said.

As Thundy started to prepare his kart to accomodate Dynamo and Bluebelle, a letter appeared in front of Chelsea. She opened it. It was from Pencil. "Awww...well guys, wish I could go to the arcade with you all, but it looks like I gotta meet up with Pencil. I'll see you guys around." Chelsea said morphing to her puddle form and zipping off.

The puddle made its way to the museum and stopped right in front of Pencil. The puddle then morphed back into anthro Chelsea. She was taller than her feral form. "Hey Pencil! I got your letter. What's up?" She asked.

...Success! Kiss acquired. Trilby closes his eyes and enjoys the kiss, letting it last for the right amount of time. Not too long, not too short. But he does put his heart into it. When the kiss ends, he gives Shadow a warm smile. "See you tomorrow, Shadow. Love you." He slowly backs away and waves, almost not wanting to leave, but still very happy and satified.

However, Trilby can't just go straight home after that. He decides to take a walk around a few blocks. With a hot blush on his face, Trilby smiles wide and does a giddy little dance! He almost doesn't care who sees him. For once, everything in life is going his way!

@ExplosionMare

With direction from the staff, the artist ponies form a line, with sign-up forms being passed around. They are all in a big chatter, hoping that with a new curator, they can actually get promoted instead of ignored, or maybe they can finally start selling some of their works.

...But not everyone has great art. Some are inspired, yes, but others really need to go back to school first. There's even a foal trying to submit his grade school arts and crafts projects; but macaroni art and hoof-traced turkey drawings (the pony version of hand-traced turkey drawings) aren't exactly what a museum would be looking for.

@Kronos the Revenant, @SolidFire7, @GeneralDirection

Final drops the bad cop routine after a while. "He seems on the level, Mr. Kronos. I've never heard of changelings before, but Mr. Fire here seems cool."

Speaking of new faces, the young colt notices someone else joining them. "Oh, hi there." He waves at Silver. "My name is Final Premonition. I'm just a young time traveler, passing through. Who are you?" He looks him over. "You look kind of like a pony, but different... Are you wearing armor or something?" Final asks Silver.

“A changeling, huh?” He remarked as he watched Phoenix vanish and then soon reappear. “I see. So you’re also a traveller as well? I’ve spent a lot of time travelling around Equestria myself. Good to meet you, Phoenix. I hope you’ll find a place for yourself in this town as I have. The ponies here are very friendly and welcoming.” He smiled before turning to face Final.

@Samurai Equine

“Nice to meet you as well. I have no idea about time travel or how that works so I commend you for that. Sounds rather interesting. My name’s Silver, and I’m a kirin. It’s a cross between a unicorn and a dragon, simply put. We also have an emotional transformative state that results in us literally setting ourselves on fire. I’d try to tell you it’s not as cool as it sounds but I doubt you’d believe me.” He stated.

@Kronos the Revenant

To address Phoenix’s concerns, Silver nodded his head in agreement with Final. “Yes, I echo Final’s sentiment. This one also seems good to me.”

He then heard Phoenix’s request for lodging. “I am also in need of somewhere to stay and would like to know where accommodations are located, if either of you know.”

Dynamo gave a deadpanned expression as he listened to Thundy's remark. It wasn't that he was bored or anything of the sort, but more along the lines of confusion. "I think you lost me with your vehicle mumbo jumbo. It does sound like a lot to take in and for different situations. It still sounds interesting to look into." He would say, before a letter had appeared suddenly in front of Chelsea. Tilting his head to the side in confusion, he soon heard that Chelsea had to leave. "Sorry to hear that you have to leave, but we'll still be at the arcade if you want to visit later." He would say, before seeing Chelsea morph into her puddle form and took off. "See you later, Chelsea!" He called out to the retreating puddle with a wave, before looking back at Bluebell and Thundy. "I guess with Chelsea leaving, then I guess the training is over for the day. Maybe it's best that we head back to town and see what's going on. Did you both want to possibly head to the arcade?" He asks, while not sure if Bluebell was a fan of video games or not.

Pencil waved at Chelsea as she streamed in, craning her neck so she could be at eye level with Chelsea’s anthro form. She hopped off her chair and offered it to the griffon. She had to steady it a bit since it began to roll away.

“Thanks for coming in, Chelsea,” she acknowledged. “I think water Pencil is getting a bit lonely over here. I thought maybe you could help with that,” She gestured over to water Pencil who still seemed a little gloomy.

“Oh, also, I should probably tell you why I’m here. I’m the new curator of this museum!” Pencil beamed, throwing a hoof in the air for flourish. “There’s, uh, quite a lot of ponies here wanting to submit art. The staff seem to be handling all that just fine, though,” She trailed off as she looked at the line. There were so many talented ponies here as well as ponies who weren’t as skilled as she would like. Still, it was just amazing to see so many ponies come to her with artwork.

“Hey, I was just thinking...do you have any sort of art you’d like me to take a look at?” she asked Chelsea curiously.

Dynamo chuckled softly as he shook his head, before giving Bluebell a look of reassurance. "I would joke around and say no promises, but you have my word. No game will abduct you into the game world as I put the virtual reality helmets away. I might have to look into studying those sometime in the future. However, that's for another time. For the breaking a leg, I promise there will be no tripping hazards. In the off chance that you ever did fall, then I give you my word that I'll catch you." He says, placing his left front hoof upon her shoulder as he gave Bluebell a soft, yet caring smile. "By the way." He started, before glancing back towards the male griffon. "Hey, Thundy? Will there be enough room for all three of us to fit in the kart? Also, the kart won't go too fast, right? I'm kind of recovering from that joy ride from earlier." He says, somewhat chuckling sheepishly, while wondering how they were going to get back. "If not, then maybe we can walk back to town? I don't think it was that far of a walk from when we all went this morning. Either that, or maybe we could take your teleportation?" He asks, wondering what the griffon had in mind for the trio.

"Wow... A changeling and a kirin. This timeline has so many interesting creatures in it! In my time, we barely know of that many other creatures besides ponies." Final scurries between the two of them. "Would you be willing to let me examine you both for scientific purposes?!" He asks with enthusiasm, though he knows they will probably reject him.

But then a question comes up. "Looking for a place to live? Well, I'm just a kid and I'm not even from this timeline. But based on what I've seen... This place has a LOT of empty places to live and little security. You can live anywhere you like! Just pick a place that's vacant, and you're free to live there. An apartment, a house, even a business building if you want~ I bet they wouldn't care if you found an empty lot and built a custom house; if you wanted to go that far." Final explains.

Final scratches the back of his head. "Hmm... Afternoon... I should probably get back to my original timeline. But first, I really wanna say goodbye to Thundy and the others. They were really nice to me when I first got here."
