What do you think of the Mane Five's new voices?

Now that we've heard more of the new voices for the Mane Five. What do you think? Are they as good as the movie VAs?

Was it unrealistic to expect the VAs from the movie to reprise their roles?

I like them.  It really wasn't hard for me to get used to them, and I honestly think that they are going to a good job at capturing the personality of their characters.

They're all acceptable so far, although they do feel a little bit phoned in, most likely due to them being in a series of YouTube shorts. I was especially worried about JJ Gerber as Hitch, but he seems to be doing alright so far. I do wonder how the new team will fare with episodes that demand a bit more from them though. I have a bit of faith that they will handle it fine, but most of these actors have limited experience under their belts, so we shall see.

Clearly not as good as the expensive movie VAs, but they sure work with these YouTube clips.

I think the Gen 5 TV voice actors did an AWESOME job replicating the performances of the voice actors from the MLP: A New Generation movie.

Overall their fine for a YouTube short, expect I can't seem to get on board with Izzy's voice for some reason.  We'll have to see how well they can perform with improved production quality for the specials and mane series when they have to detach from the zanny and use their voices to give all their heart and soul into a role.

She didn't really hold up to the movie version. The movie one was more energetic and cute.

I really like them, they did a pretty good job of replicating the movie voices!

I'll miss the movie voices, sure, but I also understand that it wouldn't be possible to have them for the series.

I got used to them. Zipp and Hitch seem to retain their voices from the movie and I give kudos for that. Izzy feels a little more squeaky almost like a combination of younger Sweetie Belle and Pinkie Pie.

Getting used to them was a breeze for me, honestly. Everyone's pretty good at channeling the movie VAs. Kimiko Glenn is still the true Izzy to me though.

Their voices didn't seem that different to me, the thing that actually bothered me was the fact that some of the characters seemed a bit out of character...

These new voices are just fine. Sure, they were a little rough around the edges but with time comes experience and thus more confidence.

For some reason, Izzy's voice sounds...close to home. I mean, her accent gives me the feeling her VA is Indian-American.

All five of them did a really good job in their roles. I got used to them really quickly.

They seemed to do an alright job for the most part. While the differences were noticeable to me, they weren't too distracting. The only one that is very noticeably different to me is Izzy; she isn't the same without Kimiko Glen voicing her. Overall, while the voice acting in TYT isn't up to par with FiM and the G5 movie, it's alright for what it is.

Alright, now that we're a ways into Tell Your Tale, and the Make Your Mark special and the G5 video game have come out, what do you think of the voice acting in G5? Do you wish Hasbro kept the VAs from A New Generation?

I don't like the new voices very much.

Having celebrities voice the main characters in MLP:ANG didn't help as it set up disappointment and "confusion" for the final voice-acting.

I find that Izzy has it worst. In voice-acting in 3D, and both character design and voice-acting in Tell Your Tale.
