Anyone must have had the realization that it is possible to do something bad while using your school's computers. Did you do anything bad, or something questionable? Did you get in trouble for it? Tell your story if you have one!

I used several different methods to bypass the schools blocked websites. I’d play games or visit online forums to chat with people. Never got into trouble for it.

Never really. Rarely used the computers at school at all. Only times I used it leisurely was to play Halo or Counterstrike MP and even then it was during lunch so they allowed it

Oh boy, this topic brought back some memories 30QJkkP.png.76a29812b779149867c264313c6e

On one of the school library's PCs, I created a shortcut on desktop, that shutdowns computer with a countdown prompt saying the PC is affected by virus and that it will shutdown in few secs, which it was doing after the countdown reached 0. There was no simple "cancel" button on the prompt, one had to run a command or dig somewhere and act fast to escape. I gave that shortcut an internet browser icon, named it after the browser, and deleted the "real" browser shortcut. Then I simply left the school library.

I've never heard anything about it afterwards, but some time later they no longer allowed to install, nor play any games. Previously it was totally okay to come on breaks or sth and play games, people played stuff like CS or Quake 3 arena or some browser games. Then RIP, none of that was allowed. To this day I wonder if it was related, given the librarian hardly had any idea about PC's, I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was legit virus or something lol. Welp, ~

Well, I did a thing where I installed a key logger over the weekend, then got back on Monday to see that I had collected the password from the admin. After that, it took nearly 3 minutes to find my grades available on the schools protected network. This is where I stopped though. I didn't modify my grades.

Back in my freshman and sophomore years my school's computers didn't have as strong blocks so I downloaded a lot of those horror RPGmaker games from mirror sites and played them whenever I was finished with my work. Most of it was just regular spooky stuff, but a few have sort of odd content in them. Starting junior they got a lot stricter though and now you can't run any application that's not pre-approved. I'm not much of a hacker though, and ehh....it's not worth the fight. I should really lock in and focus on my schoolwork more anyways :ajsleepy:

Worst I did was occasionally bypassing blocks to play flash games. Most of the time I just did my schoolwork, but you have to live a little.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Install a VPN, bypass Discord restrictions, and spend CS class just chatting.

I’ve never tried gaming on a school laptop since my school’s WiFi and the laptop hardware are too bad for even website games.

The school I went to didn’t have any computers when I was attending. If they had, I would have likely crashed the thing (more or less unintentionally), which would not have upset me in the least.
