Filly Fluttershy's backstory seemed more illogical than the average MLP. She was falling as fast as Rarity was, bad was caught by butterflies? Okay, so if a crowd of butterflies was just flying, and Rarity landed on them, she'd be okay? Which would render Dash's whole rush useless?
