"I think that those new powers given to me by the Cold Moon are both a blessing and a curse!" *Shiny said to @Felis Amafeles who was running next to her. It was indeed harder for her to leap through the snow and to remain stable on the ice that her body was unwillingly creating around herself.*

Vibrant would keep rushing forward, doing all in his power to finally catch up with those ahead of him. He still saw others, particularly @Shiny Silvermoon and @Felis Amafeles, but due to his recent exhaustion he really needs to put some effort in his trot.

Samurai had finished making a camp fire from twigs and such. With the fire going, he is able to get a pretty big flame on it.

...Oh, are you afraid that a fire might be dangerous in a field of falling leaves and usually dry weather? FEAR NOT!

For as soon as the flames are made, Samurai magically absorbs the fire into his horn. "...Yatchaohze! That's like eating a full meal for my magic."
About that time, Samurai notices Shiny. More importantly, the snow fall is mostly focused around her. "Celestia has blessed me. I can finally return the race. Once more, justice is at full speed!" Picking himself up, Samurai runs out and rejoins the race!
