Should Queen Chrysalis be a recurring villain for Season 3?

I wouldn't mind her coming back for one episode... maybe two (if it's a 2-parter).

 

But they shouldn't use her too often. If she starts becoming a recurring villain, the viewers are going to know Hasbro's jerking them around. They'll catch on to it and know that they're being led down the Saturday Morning Cartoon Plot Railroad.

Queen Chrysalis will most definitely return, but not as the villain, rather she will return as the savior of Equestria. Celestia and Luna will realize that Queen Chrysalis is the true leader of Equestria, and will abdicate their throne in favor of the Changeling Queen. Well, that is my wish, but I doubt it will ever happen.

 

In truth, I really could see Chrysalis coming back as a main villain; the response she and the changelings received from bronies was huge and unfortunately she didn't get as much screen time as she deserve (yes she was in the first part, but she was mimicking Cadence instead of being herself; shoot, Discord had almost two episodes of screen time, Queen Chrysalis deserves at least that much screen time or more). Further, there is so much that can be done with the Changelings- I would love to know more about them, how they were created, are they an evolved version of ponies and are there more "creatures" that exists within Equestria.

 

As you can see I absolutely love Queen Chrysalis (my favorite clopfics include her as the main character, so beautiful :wub: )

I notice a lot of us prefer a Chrysalis and Discord team up. Whilst I don't think that itself is a bad idea, the whole villain team-up thing, I think, has been done to death. Okay, sure, it's mostly down to execution, but still, it's not my cup of tea.

I have enough reason to believe that she will most not likely appear again in the future episode. There are certain set of rules MLP series seems to follow when it is being produced. So same goes for Discord, but based on the fact that ... John de Lancie have taken some part in the recording of season 3, perhaps there's reason to believe that something will be different.

Maybe not a 'visible' recurring villian, but maybe someone that's pulling the strings.

 

I could see something really creative planned like throughout all season 3, all antagonist conflicts are the result of Discord subtly creating disharmony among Equestria. For example, perhaps Nightmare Moon comes back for the season premier, but upon investigation at the end of part 2, it is revealed that Luna had no control over her actions, implying someone else was in control. Throughout the season, minor villains like the Diamond Dogs, Trixie, and Gilda make a few appearances, perhaps even working together, to exact revenge on Ponyville.

 

In the season finale it is revealed that Discord has been attempting to make disharmony and the Mane 6 have to find a way to defeat him without the elements of harmony.

The Queen may return, but thinking up a scenario is tough. She only invaded last time because of a Royal Wedding. A huge connection to Canterlot Defenses, and great love to feed off of.

i think it would be awesome to have her return shes not exactly a selfish villain she does it all so her subjects don't starve to death. maybe have her return and kidnapp one of the mane six and take there form or have her free Discord

I was thinking something similar when i read the title, if she'd be recurring, then it would just be like pokemon, with her blasting off in every episode. Which is no good.

The thing with a changeling is she can be right there in front of the audience and we'll never know it: even with the clues.

 

For example, The school kids are turned against Celestia and then Mane Six..."You mean Cherilee was Queen Chrysalis all along?!"
