as i was saying. ponies tend to live shorter and males tend to act A LOT more agressive, so maybe the population would get out of control otherwise? anything i say now will just be repeating what ive said earlier, so fuck.

In real life, colts are castrated at a young age. This decreases their aggressiveness towards mares, and generally breaks their spirits, making them easier to break.

I've also noticed most stallions mostly do physical labor, and many don't take wives. There also isn't much sexual abuse in equestria, so maybe all the colts could be neutered at a young age?

 

Maybe long ago, equestria was ridden with crime and they thought if they castrated the colts there wouldn't be so much. It may have worked, but they also doomed their entire race. Maybe they are simply paying so much attention to friendship between the mares because the entire species is in denial that because of their foolish act, all ponies are doomed to be extinct in the next few years? Or maybe only the most handsome and well 'Endowed' stallions are allowed to mate. (What a life that must be! Fucking mares all day!) well you cant determine how genetically fit a being is to mate a young age, so maybe they just use male chastity belts. Or maybe there are pony abortions. Maybe there is aone-child policy in act, I DONT KNOW! ITS JUST A KIDS SHOW SEXUALITY SHOULD BE A PROBLEM! But anyway, how does the population is equestria get controlled?

 

I highly doubt they are neutered. That would be like America deciding to stop the Drug War they have going on by castrating the males. Ponies in Equestria are sentient beings, and will likely not force such a thing upon other colts. The lack of crime and sexual abuse is less explicable, but a good guess would be considering that Equestria is a monarchy, which probably doesn't see capitol punishment as that bad. Maybe. But that's just a theory.

 

As for population control, the lack of colts is likely the cause. It just seems by chance that more mare were birthed or something. Not much room for procreation.

These male Ponies think far more different to the male non sapient Ponies of our world, thus can very well control themselves without effort, live by morals and can even love the opposite sex even if their not in heat just like us Humans.

Mr. Cake is either very stealthy and he escaped as a youth or he's not actually a pony.

 

Same goes for Twilight's dad, Mr. Pie, Rarity's dad, Filthy Rich, and other fathers we've seen in the show.

 

So no, colts are not neutered at a young age. Now where's a Bob Barker pony when you need him to tell you to spay or neuter your ponies.

Ponies are in essence the humans of Equestria. They look like ponies and walk like ponies, but their behavior is very much humanlike... so processes like neutering wouldn't be done.

-_- the show is about unnaturally colorful ponies, pegasi, and unicorns. There are also baby dragons whose aging can apparently be slowed down and alicorns that are thousands of years old. And they don't have any (visible) genitals. This is a kids' show.

We could also ask questions like "can ponies get terminal cancer," "do ponies use birth control pills," "are ponies created in labs," and other questions of the like, but why would you ask those questions unless you're trolling? This is a cartoon, and cartoons shouldn't be overcomplicated.
