Vemillia Nightshade 2,247 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 Honestly, Gen 4 broke my hate for the world of MLP. I will admit, I look at the old stuff more critically then subjectively. I have enjoyed the more... interesting nature of Gen 4. Plus I got to see some decent villains, though I still enjoy the presence of Queen Chrysalis. She, by far, was one of the better villains. Though I also see her logic from the changeling stand point. They need to feed so why not invade the largest center of love there is. 1 "Love and Hate are two different sides of the same coin. ZeroTwo 64 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 Mostly I've become more appriciative of my friends, which has improved my life and my outlook on myself in a lot of ways. Also I don't care as much as to what others think of me, which really makes a lot of things easier.
Naiya The Brony 490 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 I meet new friends, This fandom also boosted my confidence IRL, before I was timid afraid, towards myself when exposing to others but now i I became carefree and not afraid to expose what I am anymore In public. ( I don't mean the bronyness, but the self confidence of one self)Also, because of someone that here in the fandom, I am inspired to do vector arts, probably, it opened my awareness towards my artistic side. Phoenix Flair 332 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 Well, I haven't been a Brony for long, but already I've noticed I can be a lot more honest with myself about the kind of person I am, and what I want to do with my life. I'm slowly becoming more decisive and proud of what I am.

Overdrive 5,366 August 25, 2014 Share August 25, 2014 (edited) I came out as a Brony not to long ago. My family, my mother in particular, pretty much said "they don't care what I do." Bare in mind I had some weird hobbies and interests when I was younger. My friends, on the other hand, at first thought I was out of my mind. It came with the assertion I was gay (a lot of people have thought I've been gay for years now, believe me, I am not), the name calling, etc... At this point now, most of them have pretty much forgotten about it, but there's a few stragglers... The way I see it is, if you aren't going to give me any respect about who I am, then why should I waste my time with you? I'll be honest for a minute. I've always had an issue where I began to not be able to find genuine people. Ever since I joined the herd, it's filled with nothing but generous, real, genuine people. It's given me a whole new perspective, and it 'a given me true friends, people I can trust. Edited August 25, 2014 by Smash N Dash "I'd rather trust and regret, than doubt and regret." ghostfacekiller39 23,882 December 24, 2014 Share December 24, 2014 Rarity I love Rarity. I get so happy when she's on screen and when I see fanart of her and I cuddle plushies of her all the time and put pictures of her all over the place and she makes me feel all warm and bubbly and inside and she's pretty and NOISES I love her noises Initially, most people seem to be really into the show and then it kinda either flatlines or stablizes from being the absurd and loud and boistrous fandomming it is at first. My interest in the other characters isn't nearly as strong as it was upon joining the fandom, even though I still like them My interest in Rarity has yet to stablize though, and I really have trouble having conversations that don't trace back to her in some way at times She just makes me so happy that she's become a staple in my every day life 2 He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! catnet 9,360 December 24, 2014 Share December 24, 2014 Straight before I even realised that this show existed, I had pretty much given up on humanity and its future. I was only ever letting myself see the worst in the world, all the corruption and conflict, and with that sort of outlook even letting myself starve to death sounded more preferable to going on. Anyway, after being referred to a hospital out of concern by my head of Sixth Form and choosing by myself to call it quits for the education system, I had more time to think and realise that I was in a vicious cycle of seeing negative things and then looking to find more of them. When I discovered this show, and the effect it had on the people who watched it, I was intrigued to put it mildly. I was starting to remember again that there was innocence in this life by that point, but grown men and women watching cartoony ponies? It was a little extreme... But when I started watching, somehow it all made sense. It was innocent- but it wasn't mindless. It was optimistic, and somehow that seemed fine by me, even though I wasn't particularly optimistic at the time. Even with the world as it is, maybe there was some light I've become blind to... maybe there was a better view of the world that could let me still enjoy it, and give me something to hold on for... So, to answer how MLP has affected my life, I'm no longer alone. I'm no longer seeing death as the only answer to this life. And... I'm alive. In more ways than one.

Monochrome Gray 7 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 Being a brony helped me see this world in a new and brighter light, ya know? Seeing us all together here gives me the courage to strive for a better future, no matter what comes my way. I believe we can change the way people look at each other very good way. This world needs harmony, and it's our job spread it, have fun, and be happy. This is definitely what I believe, and it's good thing too, we were able to get pass the negative barrier that kept us from truly thriving, and now we have to make sure we break down that barrier with everyone else. Tom Snyder 4,113 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 I had nothing in my life before i became a brony, nothing seemed to interest me besides gaming. My depression had me staying in bed like a vegetable, i couldn't socialize, even my best friend left me when he got his car. I lost my faith in humanity after that, just wanted my life to end, i had lost everything. Then i found this show and felt awkward watching it for the first time, had to stop myself, but kept coming back to finish the first episode. I'm glad i did, and i couldn't ask for anything more than the laughs i got from it. Seeing the mane 6 socializing and having such fun and adventures made me wish i could have my own. Yet that would be impossible due to me being developmentally delayed. But i overcame that thanks to them, whenever ii could i came back to watch another episode, seeing each personality, some i liked, some i didn't. But that didn't stop me from enjoying it. If i could show you how happy i am now after watching all 4 seasons in one sitting, i would be smiling, something my family never gets to see. But now these people who see me as a parasite are trying to bring me down, but i turn that negativity into positive ones. Just laughing at how much they still have to learn before they are mature enough to even talk. What they need to do is take one look at me and they'll see i'm as normal as they are, why should me liking a family show be any different than what they watch? They can try to insult me, but in the end i tolerate their antics. All they are doing is making my day with these silly accusations, such childish behavior is really unnecessary. I ignore what i can, but retaliate only if i'm given death threats. I have taken many to court for their actions against me and won, i'm the one laughing in the end while they look at themselves and see how much of a fool their being. //// My persona and OC: Candy Star //// Ask me anything: Ask Candy Star //// My Music //// //// My DA: (OC requests available) ////
Sommar 1,289 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 Being a fan of the show made me a lot happier as a person. It has become a part of my life now as I am looking forward to the newest episodes. And the community is loving and hospitable. I'm glad I've found such an amazing community. However, only one of my friends know I'm a pegasister because she's one too. I am not planning on telling other people because I feel they won't accept the fact that I like the show.
Holiday Agnaktor 1,436 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 I've become.... More happy, I guess, and now I'm more accepting towards everything. Last time I got really really angry at someone, and I would have just punched him, if it weren't for me trying to become a better person because of the show. Now I just stared at him for the 10 minutes straight to make him feel uncomfortable... >:3 It's a step forward, I guess... 1 Awesome signature by FallenTrench People think my soul is filled with grey, but it's actually filled with rainbows! Krazy Stargazer 26 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 Yes it definitely changed me. Before the show I use to think that the world was so cynical and rough. I thought i'd have to change who I was to fit in, but I desperately refused too, I would rather have been an outsider that give up who I was. So that's what I was an outsider of sorts. Then I watched the show and immediately sympathized with Twilight. She wanted to save her world and thought she couldn't do so by making friends. I was the same way, I wanted to help the world but I wasn't interested in making friends. In fact I was probably a little snobbish. Then I learned fom both the show and the fandom that friendship does help make life...just more bearable. So I tried to become more social. For example I saw this girl one time who had a Fluttershy plushy. We started talking and I brought up the fact im a brony, instead of writing me off she was actually interested. Heck she even went out of her way to find me on facebook Im more social, optimistic, and just more happy in general
Invincible 2,092 December 27, 2014 Share December 27, 2014 Not really. I mean, hey, you could say i'm more into horses now and i read too much pony in my fanfics, but aside from that, iv'e nothing in particular to show for. I'm the same old me, being a brony didn't change who i am, it merely expanded my fields of interest i guess?
