What would you change if you were in charge of the show?

Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo develop a surrogate sister relationship in an episode focusing around Scoots, and Dash begins to occasionally display her rarely seen softer side towards her.

I love they way she is portrayed and voice acted, but I dislike how she is the element of generosity and seems to be so much more material orientated then any of the other ponies and not like her element at all in some cases.

I agree. Rarity is also my third favorite pony, just because of her personality and occasional hyperventilating. I don't mind of Rarity's upper-class. There are times where Rarity actually made me laugh in the show. We need more Rarity fans!

I would fire everyone and write, draw, animate and voice the show myself. It'd be bootiful!

 

 

Really though, I'd like to bring it back to moreso the "Learning Lessons" root, and push the characters back to their old personalities. Maybe have some development, which this show severely lacks. When was the last time you saw a character change?

Derpy would go back to her original voice and her original derped eyes. I would also make an episode fully dedicated to just background characters. I would have also included Princess Celestia and Princess Luna in the sisterhooves special episode. And I need to change Princess Celestia's name to Queen Celestia, tyrant and dictator of Equestria guardian of Equestria.

 

Give Octavia and Vinyl Scratch their own full episode.

I would remove all the unnecessary forced memes and anything else that is a bit too influenced by the fanbase.

 

If you, as a fan, could influence mlp, you would make sure it isn't influenced by fans. O_O That's some pretty good paradoxish thingy. O_o

To specify, what would you do if Hasbro randomly emailed you and told you that the show had been handed over to you? Is there anything you would change, improve or take out? Are there any characters you'd bring back-or even take away all together? Would you change the animation, music, themes or storylines if it were your choice?

 

For example, I'd personally keep it the same, but possibly add a continuing storyline, like say, the Cutie Mark Crusaders gaining their Cutie Marks in different episodes. I'd also probably expand the background of characters-particularly Celestia, Discord and Luna.

 

Remember, you are allowed to change anything you want, without limits.

I don't think Rarity is terrible as the Element of Generosity, but like AJ's, Twilight's, or even Dash's element, needs to be a little more complex in order to gain a true understanding of both the element itself and the personality that the elements are supposed to be a reflection of (or otherwise their character's values, which I subscribe to rather than a straight personality interpretation).

 

I actually thought she was supposed to be the Element of Inspiration, not exactly creativity. These are elements of friendship (well, okay, harmony) we are talking about, and a good friend should be one that's able to inspire you. One can be creative without inspiring people, although the reverse is also true...

On that matter, I'd make the whole Elements of Harmony deal a little more logically and philosophically coherent, but more practically connect it better to the actual day-to-day lives of the characters. I'm thinking that what the characters learn in their normal lives actually and tangibly improve their power with the elements, rather than just being some simple generic bond that powers their use.

Did Celestia subtly craft Twilight for the role of the Element of Magic? If so, what would she think about it if she found out?

A "Not So Different" moment with Celestia and some random evil queen character. I dunno which one.

More deconstruction of Twilight's OCD and fear of dissapointing Princess Celestia.

Molestia, will be used in the show as a nickname one of the minor characters or villains comes up with. Make sure to say it's based on the latin word molest, as in "To annoy" rather than "To violate".

Well, right now I'd do these things:

 

-Bring back Derpy

-Maybe have two writers work together on one episode so that it could be filled with more content

-More action (within MLP's limits, of course)

-Have a Rarity episode

More Derpy: We need to have at least one episode that proves once and for all that she is not the walking talking stereotype that angry parents and the habitually offended have automatically assumed she is because she is *gasp* different.

 

An occasional episode featuring a background pony: There are quite a few good background ponies with lots of story potential so why not? There are a lot of great shows with the occasional episode or two that focuses on a background character.

 

King Sombra Returns: I think King Sombra has some great potential as a villain but the Crystal Empire two parter did not even come close to that. I like this one fanfic idea one user on here came up with where Twilight gets possessed by King Sombra, I am surprised Shining Armor didn't get possessed in the Crystal Empire two parter it would have been cool.

 

Gilda Returns: Trixie got a chance and what she did was way worse so why not Gilda? Seriously Gilda took all the blame when though she went a bit far Pinkie Pie did provoke her.

 

A few tweaks to Rarity's character: Yeah we all know that Rarity has that premodonna side to her but do they need to lay it on that thick almost every time we see her? Rarity has a lot of potential as a character and this over emphasis by the writers on her flaws is what is really holding her back. She is supposed to be the element of generosity and while the examples we see of her generosity do represent that element well especially her relationship with her sister a pinch more of that and showing a bit more of her creative side will help.

 

More Luna and more character development for Celestia: I know we see a lot of Celestia but it is usually in her role as a princess we don't really see that much of Celestia the pony. And with how much we see of Celestia it is only fair to see a tad bit more of Luna and an episode or two about their relationship with each other would be nice.

 

More Applejack and more apple family: Yeah I am a bit biased because Applejack is my favorite of the Mane 6 but the apple family are some very interesting characters. On that note I would also have an episode detailing what happened with Applejacks parents, yes it would be a tear jerker but it would also be about moving on and honoring the memory of lost loved ones by living your life and being the best pony you can be.

For starters, I would give a history of Equestria, and any other unanswered questions. Also, I would add more adventurous episodes, those ones are my favorite. Another thing that would be needed is a more in depth storyline. The storyline is great how it is, but I feel like things are never explored deeply.

Applejack would get more attention, Luna would actually do something, Zecora' s character would be fleshed out more, the buzzard that actually buzzes would return, there would be an episode with a good changling, the family of the mane 6 would be included a bit more (Twilight' s parents, Pinkie' s sisters, Fluttershy' s family), and Rainbow Dash would get some serious character development.

I would change the entire series. Rather than it starring Twilight Sparkle, it would star me! Rather than Twilight's friends being other horses, they would be clones of me! Equestria would be renamed Lord Bababaville and Princess Celestia would instead be Lord Bababa.

 

Infact, this idea is so good I already started up some concept art!
