What would you change if you were in charge of the show?

I wouldn't do much, just:

 

• Give more information on what happened "1,000 years ago." - All we know about then is that Discord was defeated, Sombra was overthrown, and Luna was corrupted (I believe in that order). I am interested in what else happened back then, besides "This villain first appeared then, and we temporarily defeated them."
• Make more villains from the present. - This plays onto my previous statement. Chrysalis is the only major villain thus far, whose history does not date back 1,000 years before the Mane 6's time. I understand that it helps back-story somewhat, but I'm sure we could have villains from either the present, or 1-999 years prior to the current events.
• Make the show a little darker. - Not much, however, because I generally like the show as it is, I just feel it should be slightly balanced out as an older group is also watching. No, I don't mean "darker" as in more mature jokes, but more like what Disney did for their beloved movies before 2000 (although Chrysalis did seem similar to "Ursula"). I'd like to add that I thought the clip of Sombra enslaving Crystal Ponies was too much, and that my intention would be lighter than that.

I might throw in some continuation of the story and add some things to continue into the story, but to be honestly I don't think I'd change that much beyond that. I like the show how it is, itis hard to think of anything to change for it.

Very little. I wouldn't bring in new stuff so much as bring back old stuff they could be doing more of. Like sporadic story arcs (the Gala), and adventures where the ponies get to explore new places and kick some flank (Dog & Pony Show, Over a Barrel, AJ vs. wolves, Canterlot Wedding 2). I would develop Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon a bit more, feature more Scootalove, eventually give the CMC their cutie marks, and oh yeah, a Lyra episode. Cuz Lyra.

More episodes (I don't know if I can do that or not)

Keep Derpy as a find Waldo kinda thing.

I'd find a few more voice actors, because the following four background ponies would move up to secondary characters (at least):

 

• Vinyl Scratch (alias DJ Pon-3)
• Octavia
• Lyra Heartsrings
• Bon-Bon

I'd add Derpy in there, but I would be afraid Hasbro & The Parents would whip me for it. 

They'd all have their own focus episodes after I slowly fade them into the story arc(s).
