gaming Your most epic moment in gaming?

Most of my epic gaming moment are from FPSs, I've been scouted for low ranking COD4 pro teams, been banned for "Hacking" on hundreds of servers despite never using hacks, i was in the first 100 people to prestige on Black Ops on PC, I've achieved countless TDM matches where i get the top score with no deaths, and nearly every match i play i get the top score anyway, the list goes on.

 

But one memory that will always be with me is of Planetside, the MMOFPS that changed the way i looked at gaming, it was roughly 8 years ago now, my outfit (clan/guild) decided to launch an attack on an apposing faction's planet, the battle was slowly progressing but the tides were quickly turning and we were getting forced back, in one of the best tactical decisions i ever made in gaming, i decided to fly over to one of their other planets. They had pulled in so many people to defend the first planet that they didn't notice me and a few others taking over their planet until it was too late, we took the planet, splitting the battlefield and winning both planets. It was just amazing

 

 

I know the first bit sounds like bragging, and for that i'm sorry, but gaming is just about everything i excel in and FPSs are where i dominate

First time I ever played BF3, I decided to get in a chopper, and when I took off, the chopper started to fly backwards and it's nose kept pitching upwards. Then I crashed . Basically, mah heli was trying to do a backflip.

Same one I've had for years. Back when I still played Halo 2, I was playing a level on Heroic, and had two hunters dogging me with only an energy sword left. I killed them both, sending both tumbling off a ledge.

Both times I caught a shiny Pokemon other than the red Gyarados. Though It's kind of bitter sweet because they aren't very good Pokemon. My first shiny was a Roselia in Pearl Version and my second shiny was an Electrike in Emerald. I suppose the Electrike is decent but I don't like Roseila all that much.

I like to do speed runs of games and once i remember i beat portal in 10 minutes and 32 seconds. I was so exited when i did it!

I was play on my warlock in WoW and was doing 2v2 arenas, and just at the start of one my partner disconnected and I ended up soloing 2 paladins, ending the arena with less then 5% of my total HP.

I was playing matches of BF3, hopping from server to server to find one that i liked. Enter a new server, go up to a chopper, someone steals it from me, i ask if i can fly, they call me a noob and fly off, it happens a few more times so i go off and rack up the kills and capture points, by the end of the match i'm in first by a long shot and feeling real good about it. Next round, i walk up to the chopper, everyone backs away and lets me get in, start up, take off... and fly directly into a tree, back flipping, blowing up the chopper and killing 5 of my team-mates.

This one time I killed a skag in Borderlands

I've won a 2V4 domination match with some random chick on MW3 before. We all started with a 6V6 lobby but 4 of our teammates backed out and 2 of theres did with in the first minute. we were down by about 50 but me and her got a triple cap off on them and held most of the flags for the rest of the game.

That's the most recent in memory, but I did play THAW on PS2 and got rediculous combos.

when I took a knee to the ghost in halo 3 on the ark level in campaign from a scarab tank. went flying really high then died from falling too far, but it was fun.

I had tons of awesome moments, but only 1 can be called epic.

 

This happened about a year ago, in EvE Online. I was part of an alliance which was in a major war for territory. We lost several systems, and one specific system was left cut out from the rest of our territory. We had a huge shipyard in that system and were constructing a titan (the largest, most destructive, most expensive ship in eve, which takes over a month to complete). The titan was 3 days until completion, so me and some 200 people who were left trapped in that system were forced to defend it. Our enemies were aware of this, and since titans are most vulnerable during construction, they sent a massive attack to destroy it (their primary and secondary fleets, both of which were 250 people. For 3 days none of us had any sleep or rest, and we were constantly repositioning and defending different parts of the infrastructure to keep the titan alive.

After three days, my jaw drops as the massive beast rolls out of the docks, and wreaks havoc, killing 70 people in its first hour of existance.

I actually have two epic moments. I couldn't decide what was more epic:

 

Phoenix Wright: That moment when you realize that you have the true murderer on their final legs. This is fairly consistent throughout the entire series. The epic cornered music starts playing, objections are flying everywhere, and you need to present a decisive piece of evidence to lock this guy away for good.

 

Pokemon Gold/Silver: The fight against red, the first true pokemon master. Fighting through an abandoned cave to meet one of the strongest trainers waiting at the end to fight you. His team is comprised of mixed types ranging between levels 73 - 81 and was considered the strongest trainer designed up to that point in time. I look forward for a heated rematch in the next upcomming pokemon game.

Whenever I play Alice: Madness returns, she will turn into a rage mode when fighting and her health is low and it I love it cause she gets all badass and white and bloody and kills the enemies like in a split second and its AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finishing Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels(All Stars Version), both when i beat 8-4 and D-4 i was very happy, the game has so many evil jumps and lots of tough baddies to deal with, i cant imagine anyone beating this game 8 times(to get to worlds A-D) on the FDS version without turning it off (and no saving) O_O, my next play through of this game i want to be warpless so i can get to World 9 :-).

 

EDIt: Guess i should add that i indeed made it to World 9 in the game (Still Allstars Version)

I once made it to world 8 on FDS version but i died on 8-4...

When I was able to beat an elite 4 for the first time without using a level 100 traded to me( thats what I always did before)

Getting a 25 kill streak on killzone 3. It's just so fun when everyone rushes at you, just to get killed a couple of seconds into their spawn sequence.

Tales of Vesperia... beating Duke 3rd form on unknown (hardest) mode. seriously, i couldnt express my joy at that time. or LoZ: Wind Waker, Link doing that sick move to finally stab Ganondorf in the head at the end.

One of mine is from a game who's praises aren't sung nearly enough: Black for the original Xbox.

The game gets much, much harder, throwing wave after wave at you. I was playing with custom soundtracks on through the final level, and I was in the last room of the game. Enemies coming in from different spawn points on every side, and I was in low health.

 

The low health is a common trope now, but it was new to me... the world turns black and white, the noises are muffled, you know the drill. But, right when this happened, as I was blowing through the purposely oversized clips and trying my hardest to stay alive... this song came on.

 

 

This played over the sounds of explosions and bullets and the low health black and white blurred movements.

 

I don't think something that cool will happen to me in-game ever again.

I had 10+ people rushing at me through a wide entrance in CoD World at War and I got them all in one magazine. I got banned from the server though.

Lots of epic moments in the 2142 vehicles too.

There I was, Playing Super Mario 64. I was at the final Bowser but I was taking a beating from him. I looked at my health bar and I realized I only had one hit left to death. I somehow managed to hit him twice. But the third was the hardest part. he was dissapearing here and there, breathing fire all over the screen. After 1 Minute I finally got a hold of his tail, but the fire Bowser breathed out was closing in on me. I quickly made circles with my analog stick hoping to catch speed before it was too late. The fire was seconds away from me, so I was forced to throw him blindly and jump for cover. My blind throw was the luckiest throw ever because it directly hit a bomb and exploded Bowser back to land.

I Then got the final key and saved Princess Peach

This is not really epic, but the old bait n switch on MW3 is pretty fun.

My only truly epic moment was when I was playing WAW on Dome. It was me and a buddy VS an entire clan. We held the fort despite grenades, a sniper, and someone firing a bazooka right onto us. And I suck at COD.
