My favourite Opening is from the show "Ano Hana". It's a nice catchy song and it also gives a little bit of the personality of each of the characters, so you get to "know" them without even seeing the show yet! :3
  I definitely agree with you,  Anohana has one of my favorite openings! I love the catchy, yet relaxing song, as well as the simple style of the intro. It all works very well together!

If you haven't seen Eva, don't. If you have any psychological issues, it will play havoc with them.

 

If you don't have any psychological issues, you will by the time you finish the series (the full series, not this new abridged junk they've put out.)

 

Still my all time favourite anime despite the years of therapy ;)

 

Too late, it already did to me. Also, like most ones probably, I too didn't like the ending the series showed. I liked the "alternate ending" the movie showed.

 

NGE was actually one of the bloodiest anime I've ever seen (and before anyone tries to say it; I know there are bloodier ones like Elfen Lied. Haven't seen that one and probably never will).

Here are three of my favorite openings.

 

The first is from "Mouse". The anime gets a bit naughty, and crosses the line into ADULT for about five seconds in one episode, but there's nothing bad in the opening sequence. (Except a lot of Bounce!)

 

Next is "Love Hina". I love the weird almost distorted feel to the opening!

 

Finally, we have a blast from the past. A true classic (In my opinion) The original "All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku-Nuku" OVA opening. This is the first anime DVD I ever bought!

Definitely one of the most memorable openings for me. It's just has that light hearted playful feel to it. And the dancing; can't forget the dancing. 

 

 

 

Also, if you watch the anime Clannad, the opening is pretty good as well:

Those both are pretty awesome!! I love the Pokemon one especially.... also, anybody watch the Clannad anime? 

 

I watched it. Very sad anime. I liked Clannad After Story's

more though. Mostly just because of the song I guess.

Hellsing...I have to say this would be one of my favourite Anime opening's of all time, not really to do with the animation because I will admit the animation in the original is pretty...meh...compared to that of the Hellsing OVA's but they don't even have an Opening so this is how the classic is a little more superior. This choice is more to do with the choice of song, pretty catchy if I do say so myself ^_^ That syncopated rhythm really takes me away.

And put me on the DBZ club, though I will say that while I liked the Cartoon Network intro, I'd have to give it to the Chala head chala version since it adds more nostalgic value for me(I first watched the show in Spanish)

My three favorite cartoon openings (aside from Yugioh, Pokemon, and MLP:FIM) Here are why I think are the very best catchy intros ever. Oriemo Working!!,  Mahoraba~ Heartful Days ~. Oriemo and Working are the latest anime in Japan and Mahoraba was a gem back in 2005. Ruby Gloom was cartoon from Canada if I remember correctly.

My favorite is the second season of rosario + vampire it always make me wanna get up and dance. 

 the anime itself is hilarious but not something I would recommend for kids its highly inappropriate.

Well, this forum does have a good number of intros, wether it's animated or anime. I have a numerous number of intros for cartoons, but for anime, the only two I truly like are these two!
