gaming TF2 Rip-off

Alright, so while I was on the internet, I went on to Youtube and looked at SFM movies, but then I bumped into this video:

I noticed that the video had a striking resemblance to The soldier in TF2. I saw that the game was Final Combat and it was a CHINESE VERSION OF TEAM FORTRESS 2. Wow, looks like chinese games are usually under the radar when it comes to video games, like the dozens of Bootleg hacks of video games on the NES and other old systems.

The Chinese have knock offs of everything, there are no intellectual property laws and no respect for property whatsoever, and many Chinese devs will get away with making it, however, they usually are terrible copies and end up falling flat on their face after completion. You cannot compete with TF2 by being TF2.

That reminds me of the dozens of Minecraft rip offs on the Android market. Some people will seriously straight up copy other's material just for a quick profit. -_-

This is really old. The only thing even remotely good about the game is that the sniper is a hot chick. And it looked like projectiles might have collisions with bullets, meaning you could shoot down rockets, which is kinda cool I guess.

 

But other than that, shitty ripoff is shitty :/

I remember seeing a public infomercial by Chinese state media that actually used a clip from Top Gun to demonstrate the "superiority" of their air force.

The ironic thing was that the clip was of the destruction of a Russian aircraft.

(Alright, semantics and disambiguation, yes it was an American aircraft that was used to look like a Russian plane that was destroyed in the clip in question, but that's getting overly detailed. The point is the Chinese Department of Information doesn't have the same budget as Hollywood.)

Final combat has been up for ages, and it's quite surprising that Valve never made anything to take it down. Maybe they find it way too hilarious and lame as a TF2 rip-off attempt to take action against it.

 

I'll see if I can grab a copy one of these days, it might be... most amusing.

I kinda have a theory regarding TF2 and this game. The real TF2 went "Free to play" around the time that this ripoff was getting a lot of attention from the internet. My theory is that the ripoff was part of what influenced Valve to make TF2 "Free to play". I mean, why buy some crappy ripoff when the real deal is free, right?

 

Know what would be hilariously ironic? If Final Combat ended up on Steam.

Don't trust ripoffs made by China. There very bad, yet STUPID. Take this as in an example.

In the App Store on iTunes, there lots of MineCraft ripoffs.
