I wanted to drop this in here as Sethisto from EQD said this not too long ago and it's one of the few facts we have about that site (which lets face it IS the biggest brony site on the net)

I know the show is very popular. I remember reading on Wikipedia that once the brony fandom started getting really big on the internet, it jumped from about one million to four million viewers per episode, and this was in season one. I also remember reading that the day A Canterlot Wedding aired for the first time on the Hub, was the second best day ever for the station in terms of how many people watched it. 

 

However, how many of those people who have watched it who like the show enough to consider themselves to be bronies (or just fans if they don't know what a brony is), I don't know.

Billions.  Everyone on the planet is a Brony, they just don't know it yet.

 

But really, though, when you consider it on a *worldwide* scale, 1 million bronies may actually be a *lowball* estimate.

so, i was talking to my dad i couple of days ago, and he said something about how he sees bronies everywhere on the internet, and then said something like, "i think i have figured out that being a brony is not that uncommon" well, i might disagree i think that there are only around two million bronies in the whole world, because the most views i've ever seen on a pony video is like 1.5 million, mlp on facebook only has around three hundred thousand,  this forum only has 11,000, twitter... etc etc. so i feel like bronies are very uncommon irl, but for some reason we practically own the internet, but don't like most pony related things on social media? (a lot of that is closest bronies but still) what do you guys think? do you agree with my dad that bronies are everywhere?

There's no telling really, but there's a hell of a lot of them. I'd say at least over a million people identify themselves as bronies.

Hard question it's really impossible to know the exact number of bronies out there. 

 

A large majority of them reside in America.

Well since the world's population in total is a very huge and remarkable remember and that bronies can be found all over the world including in Europe and North America. I'd have to say millions of bronies are present.

Ha, he read the Article, then I also showed him pageviews on the Equestria Daily. "Holy crap 98 Million views?" was his reaction. Now he agrees with my point of view. (Although his still 42, so he still thinks its more of a my age thing) He'll leave me alone about it now.

If I had to imagine, there's have to be at least 2 million, and that's counting the more open ones. I bet if we include the secret ones, it'd be much much higher! The fandom has been growing a lot faster than any other I've really seen, and it's quite a site when you think about it!

 

The fandom also appears to have a tremendous effect on the public, considering all the shows where they've been mentioned, and the fact that 'haters' even exist in the first place.

there's no way to be sure, remember, being a brony does not necessarily mean being active in the community. many bronies watch the vidos through youtube and dont come to fan sites so there is no way to accurately track all of the people who like the show. But if i had to guess probably somewhere in the mid thousands.

Well according to my research, one in 60 of us (apparently) are in someway a brony and with that we can assume at least 120 (being double) are full "pledge bronies", so my guess is OVER 9000

I am here! You are here! Those guys over there are here! There are a lot of bronies. An incredibly high amount of them, the fandom is full of people, I mean you can not even believe how many there are and how big this fandom is! You think the people you will ever meet in your entire life are a lot, but it's just ridiculous, compared to the number of actual and potential bronies out there. Even this forum here can't depict the actual brony-population by a statstical relevant number.

 

I'd say... something between 2 and 20 million, tending to the latter.
