It depends on what type of music I'm listening to.

If I'm listening to dubstep, it's so loud that the walls start shaking.

If I'm listening to metal, it's not so loud. It's loud, but not too loud. But if I listen to Andrew W.K it gets kinda loud though.

Well really it depends. My music is always above half on my iPod (which is nothing). If it is a favorite song, electro/techno or some kind of rock it goes pretty much on full. Unless I am at work lol. So pretty much I like my music loud :P I BLAST my musicals as well haha

My music's almost always on the max volume. I wear headphones and earbuds almost exclusively as I might annoy others, but apparently that's of no use since I still annoy others while to me the music isn't even that loud.

Loud enough for me to headbang. It's necessary to hear the bass, and the rumble. Without it, the songs just not complete.

Of course, being a metalhead, I need to clearly distinguish between instruments in a usually low quality recording. I always have to turn it up when this happens.

I agree to the max.

I listen REALLY loud nowadays because I got a stereo system installed in my room AND got a soundproof door so only me and my brother (he's in the room directly next to mine) can hear it. I listen to my music so loud all the time, I have a kill-count of 9 pairs of Apple headphones.

I wish it could be quieter honestly. I listen on minimum volume on my computer, and if whatever i'm listening to has a volume slider, I lower it. But for some reason, my computer has a volume scale of  0=no sound 1=I can hear it from the other room. And that's with headphones.

The Apple headphones are the key here.  You're going to have to buy some new ones, Apple headphones are lacking in the quality department.

I wear the crappy Apple ones in public simply because I get them for free and they project my music to everyone when it's above half volume. When at home or on special occasions I'll use my Beats, which are a definitive improvement.

Ah, I see.  Beats are much better than whatever Apple puts out, that's for sure.  I can't even fit the Apple headphones in my ears lol.

Beats are the Gucci products of headphones.

Overpriced, overrated, this is due to nothing more than the brand name.

When listening to music on my computer, it is usually at 20-50% of course I sometimes play it louder, but usually it's in that range. When listening to my ipod with my stylish pink Phillips headphones, I crank that shit to 50-90% Sometimes 100% if I feel like it. Alternatively if I'm using my big-ass Labsonic LS3000 headphones, I listen to that stuff loud, like 75-100%

First off, I got them as a gift. Wasn't my choice, i just asked for headphones.

Second off, I am not having this argument. Beats, while they are not the best, are a pretty damn good set of headphones and they look pretty sexy too.

I listen to my music softly so that if you're 12 feet away you couldn't hear it (this is without headphones or ear buds) I'm always mad with the volume controls because:

post-5726-0-98688200-1355444206.jpg

I struggle to get the volume low enough and will spend a good half a minute trying to get it the lowest it can be without it being completly inaudible.

With head phones/ ear buds I can't hear anything if it's low, so I turn it to a medium low usually.

(This is all on mobile devices, I always, let me emphasize this ALWAYS have volume off on my computer unless, let me emphasize this UNLESS I'm watching YouTube)

Having volume so low when I listen to hard style = confused people

  • 4 months later...

I have quite sensitive hearing, so I tend to keep it low. Y'know, just loud enough for me to hear it. I mean, okay, sometimes if I'm messing around with someone, and we are yelling our heads off to the song, it's fine. Painful, but fine. (Cause it's fun!~ laugh.png )  Besides, I like knowing if people are coming into room swhere I am, so it allows me to hear them, too. derpy_emoticon2.png

My hearing used to be more sensitive, after a while though, it has chilled down. But...If your music is hurting my ears, I'll either cover mine, ask you to turn it down very politely, or kinda shuffle away. blush.png

I listen to my music maxed out all the time. I live in my college dorm, so I have a lot of systems to compete with. Although I have just an iHome, it still can crank out some decent volume. Generally, I listen to my music at the loudest my iHome can go.

I keep it at a moderate level. I wouldn't want to disturb other people with the music I listen to also, I wouldn't want to hurt my ears. Keeping it at this steady level balances both. Though I'd want it to be louder, I shouldn't disturb others. I'm just trying to respect others as well. That's just me. *shrugs*

During gameplay, I set it rather low in comparison with my game's volume. During anything else, I'll have it at a moderate volume.

But at night when I'm half asleep, unable to fall asleep, and suddenly hear I song I really like come up in my playlist? My mouse hand unwillingly cranks that shit up to the max, temporarily deafening me and sending me into a state of harmful bliss.

The beats directly affect me, it's pretty great.

I listen to my music at max volume, just because I want to get a full effect of everything (( which includes bass mostly )). This is done with headphones, and headphones that go to 100+ db.

Yeah. 100 db's in my ears for almost 2 years now.

For external speakers, I havent been able to use my surround sound thing since they arent hooked up. But if I could I would play it at max volume, but I know there would be some angry neighbors that would come knocking at my door.
