The poll and the title say it all

I wanted to know, because I AM lactose intolerant. I have to take Lactaid whenever I have pizza, ice cream, tacos, ETC, and pretty much anything with dairy. EVEN MAC AND CHEESE.it really sucks.

I just really wanna know if anyone else here is Lactose intolerant. I can garuntee that almost everyone who reads the whole topic, including the poll, will be sick of the words lactose intolerant.

You have many votes, but not many replies...

No, I am not lactose intolerant. This means, then, that the final question does not really apply to me, and I was forced then to answer with "Other." I might then, explain my answer here.

I am allergic to milk to some extent, or that's what I've always been told. I tend to cough and my ears get clogged up (should say more clogged up. -_-) after eating ice cream/yogurt.

I have not drank milk since I was very young, so I don't know what it would do to me today.

Milk, I can drink milk and have no problem. I have regular milk but soy milk tastes better in my opinion. For you see, Dimitri has no weaknesses in his body. Sadness is my only weakness.....along with liars.....

I'm not lactos intolerant in any form, I eat icecream and cereal all the time(I eat a bowl of cereal like every night literally).

I also know a friend who drinks almost only milk :P. He drank like a half gallon of milk in 1 night.

I personally couldn't deal with being lactos intolerant.

I only use it for my coffee, rarely do I eat any cheese's unless their a necessary part of a dish. Something funny about American milk is that it feels watered down compared to the milks that are sold in Latin America. Funny, no?

I've been drinking milk and eating cheese all my life, as I am not lactose intolerant. I am grateful that I can eat dairy products, because cheese is the bomb  I can't live without milk or cheese.

I do not have lactose intolerance, though a number of my friends do.

I hate milk though, probably more than people who are lactose intolerant. I don't like any kind of milk, whether it's soy, dairy, chocolate, or some other kind of milk. I just hate how it tastes.

However, I love ice cream and cheese. Which would explain why my lactose intolerant friends don't sit with me during lunch. :(

I have lactose intolerance, but thank god that's not uncommon here in Finland. We have lactose-free dairy over here. Lactose-free milk, lactose-free ice cream etc...

I have used some kinds of pills to help me tolerate it... But eventually I got kinda lazy and just decided that I can live without that... Even tho it might make me feel a little worse...

I used to. But then I realized it was more a combination of junk food and high-stress / anxiety issues. It kept me in a state that was not appreciative of dairy. Got those under controll and I drink lots of milk and dairy now.

I'm not lactose intolerant at all, I feel sorry for the ones who don't get to enjoy ice cream, cheese, and all the stuff that we love.

I had a friend who had to order pizza with just sauce because she was lactose intolerant. :(

Though I am not lactose intolerant, I had one of the worst cases of the stomach flu, and that virus managed to temporarily shut off my lactase enzyme, but it lasted for weeks. I hated it really, I couldn't eat my favorite foods, couldn't have a quick cereal breakfast, and so forth.

Even if I was permanently Lactose intolerant, I would still eat pizza. That stuff is addicting.

Kinda late to the party here, but I've got a severe degree of lactose intolerance. Cream upsets me the most out of

the dairy products. While others still hurt like hell, it puts me through the worst. But I still eat tons of dairy products out of habit and yummyness. I really don't like the milk alternatives so I just end up suffering for the goods. I'm starting to like goat milk though, it's gentle on my stomach and tastes much better than cow milk does.

I'm not lactose intolerant, and am very thankful that I'm not, because I have cheese and milk all the time. I also LOVE ice cream, though I have ice cream much less often. While my waistline would probably be smaller, my taste buds are definitely happier that I can eat dairy :)

My girlfriend has slight lactose intolerance, though, and it sucks. I always feel so bad for her when she can't have ice cream :(

Having milk by itself is what makes me sick.  Strange how that works since I can have cheese or yogurt and feel just fine(well maybe when I don't have too much).  I end up mixing yogurt with my cereal instead, not that I'm complaining though.  I love yogurt.  I don't really eat ice cream though, frozen yogurt maybe but it's seldom that I do.

To be completely honest, I have no idea. That probably sounds stupid and one would probably think that someone would know whether they're lactose intolerant or not, but I don't. The thing is that I seem to have a reaction sometimes and not at others. What sets it off seems to vary. Sometimes, dairy doesn't affect me at all, and sometimes a little bit can give me a stomach ache. It's kind of sporadic how dairy affects me. This leads me to believe that it might not be dairy or at least, not dairy alone. So, really, I have no idea. I will say that it seems to have gotten better in recent years, further weakening an argument toward lactose intolerance. Well, one thing's for sure, and that's that something or other's not quite right in the stomach area. Dunno if it has anything to do with lactose or not, though.

I'm not lactose intolerant, but here is a fun fact. Being lactose intolerant is not a mutation or whatever. Actually being able to process milk from other animals is the mutation. We acquired it a few thousand years ago when humans started keeping livestock.
