Disney/Disney Channel.

Cartoon Network.

Nickelodeon.

These three stations/companies have been family stations for who knows how long. They used to have tons of good shows, but after awhile the good shows faded away and today, only a few are left on each station.

If any of these networks and/or companies could all of the sudden make a spectacular comeback, pushing out new TV shows and movies just as good as it's classics, which one would you choose?

(P.S. Disney Channel also counts the Disney franchise. Might have a bit of an unfair advantage, but whatever.)

Cartoon network could really use a comeback. I mean its good to see that they bought back Toonami and I guess that's a start but I would like to see some other shows come back. Shows like chowder, misadventures of flapjack and fosters home for imaginary friends would definitely be good to see again.

Definitely Cartoon Network. I used to love that channel and I would watch Toonami every week, but for the past couple of years everything went downhill. If shows like Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy made a comeback, that would be awesome! Edited by MelancholicMemory

Nickelodeon is kind of hit/miss.

In the 90's they had their classics, then for the better part of the 2000's i found they relied way too much and re-runs. Then many argued they tried copying the Disney channel with teen comedies like the naked brothers band or ICarly.

But then there was Avatar the last airbender that rescued the channel.

But then they did a very stupid decision such as cancelling Invader Zim, which had a large cult-fallowing. And many would consider them teeming-up with Fred as a sell-out move (Since many on the internet consider Fred a sell-out).

On the other hand Nickelodeon aquired the power rangers franchise, and the contract spans until 2014. I do think they did a pretty good job with Samurai, and i can't wait until the 20th anniversary episode.

Cartoon Network, give or take Adventure Time/Regular show and the network has almost no defining qualities to it. Granted, it's still better than Nick and Disney, but it could be a whole lot better than what they are now.

Edd Ed n' Eddy.

That show was bucking hilarious. It still is, and after watching a few 3AM episodes, I realized how many jokes were adult oriented. That show was dirty at some points lol.

Cartoon Network, because the new shows are basically below standards of humor, including that yet another new show they added on October, known as Dear Dracula, in which they thought of it to be "funny". Let's face it, they're trying too hard to be funny by adding new shows when they're clearly not, ESPECIALLY Level Up, which isn't even considered a CARTOON! http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

If they don't bring back old shows and stay there at the end of October, I might as well watch older cartoons on Boomerang and stay there for the remainder to see how older ones were funnier than the newer ones. No offense to those who still watch Adventure Time and Regular Show or other cartoons.

I've never liked Disney channel, and I like Cartoon Network for the most part now, but Nick could really be doing better, they just don't have many great shows anymore- their Nicktoons channel is alright with their reruns of Avatar, Dragon Ball Z, and Invader Zim though, but then again those are just reruns.

Now since I live in Canada we don't have many of the Cartoon Network shows. But I guess we have teletoon instead. But Nickelodeon needs to make a comeback. Both Spongebob SquarePants and The Fairly Odd Parents were both good shows until the middle of the 2000's. Invader zim was a great show.

Hey, Nickelodeon why u cancel Invader Zim?

I like video games!

I would go with cartoon network. They were phenomenal to me in the 90's, but now, there is only about 2 shows I can even stand watching. Disney channel I think are doing alright, but I never cared for that network. But Nickelodeon, they can be quite stupid. I LOVED avatar and was happy with the ending, but that is the only thing I thought they did right. They canceled invader zim and El Tigre, which both had great ratings and were good shows, but Nick still decided to end them.

I always found Nickelodeon's lineups to be rather atrocious. The only Nicktoons I liked growing up was Aaaah! Real Monsters, Ren and Stimpy, and Spongebob. To me, Nick is just a dying cause. They closed their beloved studios and now it's basically a Spongebob/iCarly rerun station.

I never really watched Disney growing up, but I did watch Duck Tales, Goof Troop, and the old Disney classics from the 40's and 50's. I think Disney Channel actually does air a few classic cartoons as "bumpers" in between shows nowadays, so I guess that's a start.

My choice was definitely Cartoon Network because like I stated before, I was a CN kid growing up and I used to watch Toonami religiously. The very first Cartoon Cartoons were definitely the best of 90's animation and we need that back.

Cartoon Network. It had so many great shows that got cancelled, so bringing any of them back would work in their favor. Nickelodeon doesn't have much left that wasn't either boring or run into the ground, sadly, and I never really liked Disney save a few of the cartoons.

Well as much as I loved Nickelodeon for bringing us Rugrats

And as much as I love Disney for bringing us the classics.

I would have to say Cartoon network just because they took the worst turn.

(Though come on, no boomerang?) Nobody here back in the snagglepuss, Grape ape? or huckleberry hound?

I'm going to go with the General consensus here and say that Cartoon Network should DEFINITELY be the one to make the spectacular comeback

I feel sad everytime I look at it now with all the rather doofy shows like Adventure Time and MAYBE even Regular Show

Then I feel rather upset over their poor excuse of a reboot called the Looney Tunes Show I mean seriously, how did THAT come along :/

I would really like to see Cartoon Network come into it's own again. I really only like Gumball and Adventure Time as of right now from CN.

But on the subject of Invader Zim, Nick didn't cancel it, the creator, Jhonen Vazquez walked away from it, a lot of people say it's because Nick got mad at him sneaking the "Bloody G.I.R" images into some of the episodes, (the most prominent one being in the intro for the episode 'Mortos Der Soulstealer') but the real reason as being quoted by the Jhonen Vazquez himself is because even though he came up with the design and overall "feel" for the show pretty much by himself, Nick owned all the merchandising rights to Zim, meaning all the clothes and Zim merch that was bought by the public, Nick was the only party getting any of the cash flow.

There are several episodes that were written and in the story boarding process when Jhonen decided to leave, I don't know why Nick didn't finish them, but the writers were mainly good friends of Jhonen, also the color artist and voice of G.I.R, so I'd imagine they'd leave if Jhonen did. But that's all I know on that.

I think that all 3 networks need to change.

The problem with Nick is, every time they get a show that looks cool they put it on that Nicktoons network they have. I don't get that network and I don't know how many people do, but if they put some of the new shows on there main network they could get more people to watch. Also they keep the same shows on that network and don't get anything that new. The only show I watch on there is Power Rangers. So more new stuff. I well say this, TMNT was the right idea. It is a pretty good show, it is just good they have something new on the air.

Disney needs to come up with some shows with action in it. Most of the time it feels like all of there shows are about singing and dancing. I know it's a family network, but they really need to get a show with action in it.

Cartoon Network needs needs to changes in a big way. First they need to bring some of their old shows back on. Not all of them, but just the ones that made them what they are today. Next is the live action department. Now I don't mind them making live action stuff, but they need to come up with better ideas. Most of the time they make shows that don't seem real. They just seem to make stuff that is more comedy. So that needs to change. Also show that aren't just15 mins long. I like some of those shows, but they need to make something that is at least a half an hour long for more detail in the show and to tell a better story.

There is more I could rant about, but this is what I think they need to do right now, so they can be better networks.

The thing is, Disney and Cartoon Network actually are still introducing new (and good) cartoons. Disney has not only Gravity Falls and Phineas and Ferb, but Lauren Faust and Craig McCracken are working on a new cartoon.

Cartoon Network seems to be doing fine with Adventure Time, Regular Show and Amazing World of Gumball (Adventure Time is tied with MLP for my favorite certainly airing cartoon, and I've watched only one episode of Regular Show and none of Gumball, but from what I've been hearing, it seems like the overall response for all of them is positive.)

What does NIck have? Spongebob reruns and teeny-bopper shows that are very blatantly trying to copy off of Disney's success. At least Disney and CN actually seem to be trying to improve. I'm looking at their website right now, and the only show that is not either horrid or used to be good but then suffered from seasonal rot is Avatar/Korra, but that's only one show and they air stuff like Victorious or Big Time Rush much more. This is the same channel that aired some of my most beloved childhood shows, and to see them turn themselves to this is just depressing. Yes, CN and Disney were also better back when they were newer, but at least they're still watchable and have more than one good show.

Bringing back Toonami and Cartoon Planet were steps in the right direction for Cartoon Network, but Toonami should eventually make it back to prime time instead of just running during the Adult Swim time slot. Introducing Samurai 7 to the lineup is a great move; that's possibly my favorite anime of all time.

There seems to be an over-emphasis on comedy these days to the point of it feeling forced in most cases. Not every cartoon needs to be funny. Some good action or drama themed shows would be nice. The Hub shows the Batman animated series that I grew up with, a great action-oriented show that could never be made today given parents' and the censors' aversion to any violent content. And maybe that's the biggest obstacle. There could be lots of people out there with great ideas for new shows that simply won't make it because of how uptight things are these days.

I always found Nickelodeon's lineups to be rather atrocious. The only Nicktoons I liked growing up was Aaaah! Real Monsters, Ren and Stimpy, and Spongebob.

Am I the only one who enjoyed Rocko's Modern Life? Everybody else I've talked to hates it with a passion. :(

The only show I watch on there is Power Rangers.

The only Power Rangers show I watched was the original when I was little, but I know there have been three or four reboots since then. Obviously you think this one is good since you watch it, but have you kept up with all of them?
