What are you expecting to get out of it? Made any preparations? I live a little north of Ashland, VA.

I had plans for a Nightmare Night party this weekend but it looks like that's not going to happen.

I'm hoping that it is still a hurricane by the time it hits us (Massachusetts).

No preparations aside from some lamps in case the power goes out.

I always like the strong weather. Especially hurricanes.

It's a storm named after a Squirrel. We're fine.

So do I, just not when I have some social plans coinciding with them, which doesn't happen often. Hurricanes and blizzards have always been my thing, and that's always been a point of contention between my parents and me. I remember every time a massive snow storm came up when I was little they would say "But I have to drive through it to get to work!" And now, as an adult, I say "Now I have a reason not to go to work!"

But I could have made it to this party. I forgot that it was tonight and not tomorrow. The hurricane didn't matter at all. >_<

From what I am hearing, where I am, it could be the worst storm we have gotten in 100 years...which is going to be awesome. Since it is going to merge with two other storms during its course.

RIP: Power Lines T^T

I live up in Vermont. Nothing ever happens to Vermont. Ever. At the most we'll get some nasty thunderstorms, possibly some intense power outages over the next week, starting from tomorrow to Thursday as the weather channels have predicted, but that's it.

Things are much milder right now than previously predicted, and much later. They moved the hurricane's arrival from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, then to Sunday evening, then noon today, then midnight. We finally have some noteworthy winds and rain where I am but it's nothing too severe; the worst is further north. Over towards Staunton they're looking at some snow.

Looks like power won't be failing here. Woo!

I live in MD and it isn't doing anything severe. All around me there are people with their power out, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here
