Find some neighbors who will offer odd jobs to you, such as mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, raking leaves, cleaning the gutters, walking the dog, etc. You'll be amazed at how generous some people can be.

Say you're Chuck Norris' son. Not only would you be rich, but everyone would be all over you.

Nah jk. What the other guy said. Find random things to do such as clean peoples yards and such.

I think there's also a paper route thing you could do, but I'm pretty sure that's dead.

I've found that doing lots of different things can help earn cash.

When I was 14, I started doing loads of things: Worked a little bit online for a few quid, worked around the house asking for small fees when doing extra things.

now I'm 15, I've worked out: Always try and find a way for a fee.

Example:

"Wash the car. It's filty."

"And how much would sir be willing to pay?"

"Pay?"

"yeah....And I know where your wallet is by the way..."

"£5.00?"

"Done...I'll do hers for another £4.00.."

"Fine, whatever."

Success.

i've probably not been much help, another shot: Buy and sell in school (I presume you're that young, right?) A few friends of mine did this and made about £20.00 a week. Buying 8-packs of cans on the way to school for a few pounds, selling them in school for a bit more.

I've got to shift, I hope I've been of some use...

Are you good at art? Do your parents have a paypal account? If both of these are true then you should check out www.99designs.com Basically you design logos for companies that are willing to pay up to 100s of dollars for them. Each job is different, and you have some competition, but it's still a great way to make cash if you're an artist.

I don't know about you and your country, but in Sweden there are a few "young age" jobs.

They might not be the best, but what do you expect?

- Picking Strawberries (Or any berries for that matter)

- Selling newspapers. (Phone your big newspapers company for a job, they might let you go around dealing out and might even get to sell the paper. My friend used to sell the newspaper here in Sweden.)

- Your neighbors might have something.

- Check your grocery stores. They might have something for you (Depending on your age)

Good luck :D!

Lol my parents wouldnt do that. My mom would probably laugh, and my dad would probably take it as talking back and ban me from everything but school for a week.

Nah. I suck at art. I have been trying to learn, but I just completely fail. :P

Odd jobs, especially yardwor, for friends, family and neighbors is probably the easiest work to find when you're young. I used to do a ton for my grandma and her neighbor, made enough money for gas (for looking for a real job) and a small food/entertainment budget, for hanging out with friends and stuff.

Yardwork is a good one, as well as odd jobs like car washing or dog walking or babysitting.

Poke around and see what your laws are about working. I got a working permit when I was 15 in my state which gave me the right to work for a business, unfortunately it didn't work out well for me becaude i lived in such a small town but it is something.to look. Into

I know that this thread about helping the OP, but... oh my, I just might have to sign up for this. Graphic design is something I'm very interested in and, if my friends are to be believed, pretty good at.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

I'm assuming you aren't old enough to drive, then? That limits your options... but if you are, see if you can invest in something that can drive a plow. You can make some good cash plowing people's driveways in the winter.

If you're in the US, you can be a caddie at a golf course/country club as young as 12 I think. Even better you can stay a caddie and maybe get a scholarship for college. Special name for it but I can't remember it right now. Evans Scholar?

It's a good idea, but just make sure that you get permission from your school first. I don't know about your school, but where I worked before (I'm a teacher), it wasn't allowed. If they're okay with it, then go ahead. Otherwise you'll get in trouble.

Wow, a lot of great suggestions, I wish I knew about some of them when I was younger!

If you can't find a paying job, you should volunteer somewhere. It'll help with your Resume, and could potentially get you a better job when you can get one. Companies like to know about things that you've done to help the community.

If your school does it, find out about internships. Some of them are unpaid, and are only there for the experience, but some of them are paid jobs, and depending on how well you do, you could be there for quite a while. I was an intern in an IT dept, worked there for about 2 years (I had to leave because of company policy regarding interns, but it was a paying job for 2 years!)

Take a look at labor laws where you live. You may be unable to get a job until you're a certain age because of those laws, if laws prohibit you from getting a job, it'll need to be "under the table." Find something on Craigslist that might give you a couple bucks. But no matter what you do, please be careful, you don't know who you're dealing with, it could be a pedophile or a murderer, so be very careful should you decide to go door-to-door! That's all I can give.

Yeah, I have been volunteering at a theatre for a year or two now.

Thats pretty cool! I will look into that.

Ok. I will check craigslist.

Legally you can get a part time job in the UK at the age of 16, so working has never really been an issue defined by age for me. However at the age of 14 i was making a rather substantial amount of money when my school stopped selling junk food. I bought it in bulk for very cheap and sold it for cheaper than store price but still making a massive profit, so much so that i hired other people in my school to work for me and we all profited massively.

If you have the right mindset, you can spot a gap in the market and fill it effectively to make some money.

As a side note, if you do try selling stuff at school, check out your school's policies, i was suspended for it.

Build computers and do tech support for old folks. That's what I did, and I managed to buy my first rig and a few games doing that.

If you live in a snow-heavy area, shovel some snow. That work's easy and you can make some decent money for your age doing that.

I'm probably not much help but, when I was a kid I would collect pop bottles around the store in my small town. After a rodeo I could make about 30 bucks a day! Normally I would make about 10 a week though...but yard work, dog walking and washing are always needed! How old are you though? If you're 14 you can generally get a fast food job...(I've been legally working since 14 at least lol)
