I went with Roseluck, because I lost my love for Apple Bloom when she was completely nonchalant to the way her sister tried her best to keep her family happy in AFR. Rose was already one of my favorite background ponies as soon as I saw a beautiful piece of art of her by some guy on deviantART.

With a lead of 21-to-3, Apple Bloom proves victorious and leaves Roseluck in the dust. I guess she was quite Roseunlucky eh? : D

I hate them both so much, honestly. Babs is annoying and makes fun of the NY accent that I kind of have and Cadance in season 3 was so bland...

Babs Seed was a decent new character in season 3 I guess, and had a pretty good song about her, but Cadance is best alicorn imo besides Twilight and had an even better song in This Day Aria, so I'm voting Cadance here.

Honestly, Babs. I've never been a big Cadence fan. She's a nice pony - a really nice pony - but she's just boring to me. Least interesting princess, that's for sure. Babs on the other hand was a very cool, unique addition to the CMC's dynamic. Love her voice and accent, her design, personality and the back story we learned about her.

This one is tough because I'm not really particularly attached to either of them.  They're both just kind of... there...  Nothing about them really piques my interest.  Voted for Cadance though because I like her design.

For once, I can't actually choose.... That honestly surprised me a bit. But, Cadance was ok and Babs Seed redeemed herself later in the episode, but I'll just vote for cadance..

I voted for Babs...kinda surprised myself there. But when I think about it she's a character with a lot of potential who started out in a difficult place, making it easier to identify with her. Cadence is a very powerful alicorn who just kind of appeared out of nowhere. I like her OK, but I'm sticking with Babs on this one.

I vote for Babs. Princess Cadence is well a princess that came out of nowhere, but she does have good a good alicorn design. Babs really impressed when I saw her for the first time, and I liked her ever since. Can't wait to see Babs bring her Manehattan seed of CMC to Ponyville.

I've never really liked Babs ever since she showed up. For that reason alone I'm going with Cadence.

Cadence was introduced in 1 of my favourite episodes though and she is nice (too good?). Might not be my favourite pony but I can still get enjoyment out of her.

Well, I'd have to say Shining Armor. Not trying to hate on a background pony but, I think Shining Armor wins this with no doubt at all.

I dunno, Shining Armor is alright I guess, not my favorite character by any means but I suppose he's a bit better than Rainbow Dash recolor Raindrops. She is pretty good for these pictures though...

Well, Shining Armor's okay in my opinion, and I'm pretty sure he's gonna win this round, but I nominated Raindrops, so I'm gonna vote for her anyway!

I wasn't even sure who Raindrops was until I gave it a bit of thought. 

She has a nice design, but she's not that memorable to me.

Well, looks like Raindrops is doomed forever to the background, and Shining Armor will be reunited with his bride! Up next, a battle destined in fate. It was one of the first matchups from last year's pony-off, it was only fate to happen again this year. Ladies and Gentlemen, Spike the Dragon VS Derpy Hooves. Now last time Derpy defeated Spike before she had her own episode, but now, will she be able to defeat Spike once again in this grudgematch? Only you will decide, good luck my little ponies!

Hm, well, I nominated Spike, and I don't want to betray him like I did Sombra, so I will vote for him here. He may not be a pony, but he deserves more of a chance than Derpy here imo. Not that I don't like Derpy, I do, but in the end she's just a background pony, Spike is a main character and a much better one than Derpy at that.

I don't think that Spike is a bad character, but I certainly don't enjoy every moment that he has screen time.  He can be a really cool character at times, but he can also be exceptionally annoying.

 

Derpy, on the other hand, is adorable.  I know that she doesn't have a canon characterization, but that works to her benefit in my opinion.  If she doesn't have a personality, then that personality can't be annoying.  Simply seeing her is enough to make people happy, and because of this she gets my vote.

I do like Spike, but his annoying portrayal lately has left much to be desired.

 

Derpy however, I do think is a little overrated but I love trying to spot her in episodes, it's like playing a pony version of Where's Wally. So I voted for her.

Spike is a fuller character with more development and potential. Twi's funny assistant vs. one of the more overrated and controversial background ponies, isn't a very tough choice.
