For some reason I hardly ever see shipping on canon couples like Shining Armor and Cadance. Maybe people just don't bother with ships that have already sailed...

Twi can be oblivious to all but the most direct statements, and direct Fluttershy ain't.

 

Even overcoming that hurdle, it'd just be too sugary sweet, IMO.

 

Now, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, I support that wholeheartedly.

Oh, there's a really good one whose title I cannot recall. The story was basically Twilight and AJ corresponding through letters and discovering that they love one another. It's really a bittersweet tale. If somebody could manage to remember the title, I too would be happy.

What I think is actually pretty swell for this community, the fact that there is remarkably little analysis on this forum.

We post pictures of our favorite ships all day long but no one actually tries to make convincing arguments or essays for one or the other.

 

Maybe it's because we like art and we're smart enough to know that however many points can be made in favor of one idea or another, there are just as many counterpoints.

May or may not be shipping but with these characters, just seeing them standing beside each other is almost automatically shipping.

The only shipping I approve of is Lyra and Bon Bon. Even if it's not 100% canon, we still see little parts with them. I just adore them together. Once in a while I like Derpy with Doctor Whooves, but I prefer her just as his assistant.
