music Favourite Album of All Time?

MorningFlash

Recommended Posts

In no order:

1. Katatonia's "Night is the New Day."

2. Morbid Angel's "Altars of Madness."

3. Nevermore's "This Godless Endeavor."

I went from country to soft rock to nu-metal (shudder) to hard rock before I finally discovered metal. There was no going back after that.

I don't have a definitive favorite, but this weeks most played album is one of my most precious vinyls.

Tom Waits is brilliant, listening to this album, with a beer in my hand. When I close my eyes I could almost swear I was perched on a bar stool in some old, smoke-filled jazz club. The ultimate 'drinking alone' album IMO.

Eh? Nandatte?

That's a tough question. Mine would probably my be Surfing the Void by the Klaxons. Second would be Sam's town by The Killers. I love both of these albums so much,

4x4=12 by deadmau5.

Every soundtrack in this album is beautifully made. Deadmau5 is a hell-of-a musical artist!

I just LOVE this album.

My number one most favorite album of all time would have to be Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends. I love the songs in this album and the transitions are perfect. I literally love every song in this album which is impressive for an album. Oh, forget to mention the artist for the album. Coldplay.

This is probably my all time favorite album.

It has just the most awe inspiring music I've ever heard. I can't seem to fault this album in anyway.

I love alot of different albums. Although my favorite would probably be Abbey Road by The Beatles. I'm a huge Beatles fan, and to me it's their best. Revolver and Sgt. Pepper come in close second.

Other favorites:

Permenant Waves by Rush,

Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie

Good News for People Who Like Bad News by Modest Mouse

Disraeli Gears by Cream,

Highway 61 Revisted by Bob Dylan.

Exile on Main St. By The Rolling Stones

Led Zeppelin IV/ZOSO, by Led Zeppelin

I told you I liked a lot of albums.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

This ablum is like the most brutal thing i have ever listened to. The first time i listened to this album I was high as fuck and it scared the living shit out of me but i love this album alot.

Oh yeah, they're a great band. I have their first two albums. I haven't yet listened to their fourth, though. Hopefully it's as good as what I've already heard. I like their first one a lot. Great stuff.

Listening to that right now. It's giving me some really nice feelings.  I'll probably check out the rest of that album later.

And I could've sworn I've already posted here, apparently not. Nevertheless, The Antlers - Hospice (2009) takes it for me. Amazing story right there, tons of emotion. A year prior to that, they released an EP called New York Hospitals, and that was three tracks long. I personally found out about it after that album, since Hospice is by far, their most popular. It does deserve that place though. They make awesome music, especially all their releases before that. Man, I wish they veered a bit back to their indie rock/slowcore stuff.

Even the intro track still gives me the chills, even after listening though it so much.

Well my top three albums are always changing as I discover new music, but the current three would have to be...

1. Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence - Dream Theater

2. Origin Of Symmetry - Muse

3. Train Of Thought - Dream Theater

And of course there are a lot of other albums that are just as good as all of those but those would just have to be the ones that I listen to the most often! XD

This is a tough call. I like a lot of stuff. However, I'll try to narrow it down to my top 3.

1. "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden: It was tough to pick just one Maiden album, but this one is it. Between "Hallowed Be Thy Name", the title track, "Run to the Hills", and "22 Acacia Avenue", it's just a great album.

2. "2112" by Rush: While "A Farewell to Kings" is also really good, this one just hits all my good spots. An epic rock opera, great instrumentals, and Geddy Lee's awesome range makes for a great combo.

3. "Innuendo" by Queen: Yeah, some of the other albums are technically better, but this album is just so touching, considering it is almost a eulogy to Freddie Mercury while he was still alive, all capped by my favorite Queen song "The Show Must Go On".

Periphery II: This Time It's Personal

Periphery%2B-%2BPeriphery%2BII%2B-%2BThi

This is one of those albums where i love every single track on it to death. It completely changed the way i look at music. It challenged me as a guitar player like nothing i had ever heard before. It has some of the strangest guitar riffs i've ever heard in my life. It kicked my ass cheeks with the power of a furious rhinoceros. It melted my face off three times. It pounded me in the chest with a sledgehammer. It's one of the heaviest, yet one of the most melodic albums i've ever heard.

My favorite is the Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. It's a very awesome soundtrack, with continuous sounds. That means that the music never stops (from beginning to end). Definitely an all time favorite for me.

Sorry, I can't pick one so I'll make a list of albums I like the most:

- Any album by The Beatles

- Nevermind by Nirvana

- Substance 1987 by New Order

- Power, Corruption, and Lies by New Order

- London Calling by The Clash

- Ten by Pearl Jam

That's what I can think of. There's probably more that I'll like as much as these.

Wow. This is probably harder than the "favorite band" question. Way too many great albums. I'll just do what I always do and cheat. I'll be listing a bunch. :P

Waking The Fallen - Avenged Sevenfold

Beyond The Permafrost - Skeletonwitch

This Type Of Thinking Could Do Us In - Chevelle

Indestructible - Disturbed

Asylum - Disturbed

Ten Thousand Fists - Disturbed

Device's self-titled album

Dethalbum I and II - Dethklok

Holographic Universe - Scar Symmetry (Or really any of the albums by this band, really)

Masterplan's self-titled album

Pale Communion - Opeth

Meteora - Linkin Park

Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park

Scream Aim Fire - Bullet For My Valentine

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, I TELL YOU.
