The pain thread (aka ways you've hurt yourself)

Gone for good

Recommended Posts

I broked my kneecap when I was 13, trying to jump over a fence to recover a ball. My kneecap twisted 180º and I had a surgery :P

I think that's the worst I've had.

Who will be at the end of that red line?

A couple of months ago, while on the sidewalk I have twisted my ankle on the curb. I did not break anything, but it hurt a kit at the moment, and it kept hurting a little for almost a week.

Two things, when I was 7 I had a fake plastic helmet. I decided that the best way to test it would be to jump off a bunk bed head-first. Much more recently, I was playing spoons with a friend, and got stabbed by one of the spoons. I still have a scar from it.

Only one major injury: Broke my ankle when I fell off a climbing wall in elementary school (it was one of those little ones that slightly incline, not really a climbing wall) I'm not sure if I really had surgery or not, all I remember is Xrays and a cast.

I once tripped and slammed my forehead on the edge of the desk; No injuries but I got a huge bump on my forehead

This one was the worst: Intermediate School (5th Grade), standing in line after recess waiting to go back in. All the balls were on the ground, some were in the bin. No one had kicked the ball, but somehow a ball hit me BAM square on the head from the sky. I legit forgot what I was doing for a second, but I sustained no injuries luckily.

Stabbed with a spoon? How?

1. Tripped on a phone line and gashed my head open.

2. Taped  out on my bike trying not to get hit by a car,  road rash like no end and lots of blood.

3.Climbing trees.

4.Playing with fire as a kid and camping

5.Trail riding.

6. Slum lords would not fix my steps to my trailer,  trip, landed right on hand,  fractured it.

7.Working in a bakery,  much much burning of flesh of the first to second type.

8.Hit a brick wall while pissed, scars on hand on the right.

9. Driver opened car door in parking lot while on cell phone,  I kissed the window.

10.   Driver talking on cell phone,  ran red light,  had to twist my bike,  land on right knee and much bruising and pain,  swelled up 3 times the size and I still rode my bike home all 3 miles....

That sounds like it hurt. We were playing with plastic spoons, and we both went for the same spoon. My friend hit it first, which broke it. When my hand came down it got stabbed by half a spoon, leaving me bleeding and scarred.

let see I cut my leg with my katana not that long ago.   I was making a youtube video and talking to someone and I cut my right leg bone above the foot.  I was cool about it and did 1aid on it myself.   If you cutting with a sword watch with your doing and use the right cutting stanes.

A while ago I decided it would be a good idea to climb the wall of a publicly owned house thing to go dance in its garden. Last time I did things like that I was clearly less tubby though, since I crushed my chest lugging myself over the gate and they were not happy for a while afterwards.

One time I was literally just running across the street to get to my bus stop. My feet gave out for no reason and I tripped. I ended up cutting my knee and ripping a hole in my pants (which made them out of dress code but it’s not like I wanted the hole). My locker was on the bottom when I used to have a locker but I obviously couldn’t bend my knee correctly. The only way I could really reach it was to look like I was propose to it :lie:

I still have a stupid and obvious scar from it. It’s such a dumb scar to have but there’s nothing I can do about it now. :fiery: At least the story for it is kinda funny.

I have a small permanent bruise on one of my teeth from when I tripped fell flat on my face at 7 or 8 years old. The tooth was damaged while still inside the gum.

I crashed my bike when I was 15 and ended up with a huge gash on my left arm. The scar is still there.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I think I’ve mentioned this in some other thread, but it always pops to mind when I think about painful mishaps. I dropped a frozen turkey on my foot once and oh my gosh that was painful! The stupid thing is that I got so mad that I kicked the blasted thing and stubbed my toe, making it quite a bit worse. No broken bones, but it didn’t feel too good for a while. I swore a lot.
