1000 posts. So I found out that my 1000 post in this fan club was approaching, and at first my reaction was, 'Hey, that's kinda cool'. I was impressed that about a quarter of my post count is attributed to this thread. To put that into context, I have exceeded my post count on both a Star Wars forum I have been at since Feb 2003, and the Nerdfighter forum I have been at since mid 2008. When looking at it that way, I started to obsess over what I was going to do. It needed to be grand. It had to be something special. I stopped posting here because I wanted my 1000th post to mean something. Boy, talk about missing the forest for the trees. 

 

So over a week goes by after not posting in here, trying to work on this opus of a letter to you all and to Rarity, and I found myself not having as much fun. I've always maintained that this Fan Club is a large part of my enjoyment on these forums, and now it's undeniable. Not talking about Rarity among Rarifans actually has a toll. That electrifying excitement I feel when we go off on silly tangents, or when Obsi and Ghost share their approaches to the character, that means a lot to me. I didn't get to post in the 800th page and I missed Jill. All for the sake of a single post. 

 

There is a bit of Inception going on when it takes a good friend to point out that it is just time to return. I actually got a Friendship Lesson ... now that is something to smile about. in the end, this post isn't about me. It is about Rares ... it is about Kazooms ... it is about Tabby ... it is about you all. Everyone that helps to create and shape the character we love is what I celebrate with this post. Hell, with every post. This includes you all since my appreciation of the character only grows as we share what is remarkable about Pearl Pone. 

 

Thank you @ghostfacekiller39, @Obsidian Sky, @Woohoo, @A.V., @The JLmle, @GlowingFlask, @ooBrony, and @Andaasonsan (hope I am spelling that right or the mention isn't going to work). 

 

There are more than just you who make this club of Rarifans complete, and if you weren't mentioned it is because I am succumbing to the impatience in me that wants to press the post button. There are more names that I want to mention. 

 

This post is for you Rarity, and for your fans. I am putting aside the crazy tome I was throwing together. Some of it will wind up in the OP (yes that is still a thing we are doing as soon as we can)

I love this season. It's funny because each Christmas season always feels far too structured since my wife's family are crazy with traditions. It sort of brought to mind a question on whether Rarity would be for a structured holiday with planned activities, or if she would just go with the flow (once the Carousel Boutique was decorated and lit up like a beacon of fabulosity of course). Outside of her art and talent, Rarity isn't that rigid at all. I would expect that she would want to be busy, and enjoy each minute of the season, but not at the expense of the ability to sit back and marvel at the magic the holiday can bring. We all approach this time of year differently. What are your thoughts?

It sort of brought to mind a question on whether Rarity would be for a structured holiday with planned activities, or if she would just go with the flow (once the Carousel Boutique was decorated and lit up like a beacon of fabulosity of course).
