technology iTunes on Windows. Why?

I don't get it.

It's a memory hog, and isn't customizable in the slightest.

I know you're going to say "to sync my music with my ipod"

Foobar, can do that, except foobar isn't bloated, a memory hog and is customizable.

"But Legit! iTunes just works!"

Is it really that hard to drag a folder?

The reason I say Windows is because if you have a Mac you're probably already locked into Apple products.

What's the point of iTunes on Windows?

Because iTunes is junk. Have you ever installed iTunes? Have you seen what kind of junk it also installs? I don't like junk.

It's justifiable to use it on a Mac.

Due to lack of other good programs and if you have a Mac, you're beyond the point of return and are probably locked into Apple.

the program is 68MB? how is that crazy? it shouldnt matter at all. i still got like 500GB space left and it only uses like 10mb ram and i got 12GB of RAM so thats no problem at all.

That's not the point.

The point is that it's extremely bloated.

It's like, you have two pies.

A really really big one.

An average sized one.

You eat the really really big one, it tastes terrible.

You eat the average sized one, it tastes great.

You see what I'm getting at here?

If it is all you can get it's all you get.

I only purchase the ponies on iTunes to justify pirating better torrents myself. Hasbro gets their money, I get my bloody damn ponies and no questions asked.

And system resources it takes? I am not exactly running out of RAM of CPU cycles so I don't cry over marginal usage difference.

Also, yes, iTunes blows. I don't use it for anything else than ponies, but I have so much HDD that iTunes 68 megs is a flydung in a tanker.

You open the really really big one.

Inside is just air, all you have is the crust.

You open the average sized one, inside is meat.

i understand but dude.. its only 68MB. i dont understand how that could be such a huge problem for you..

Hasbro really should make a way for us to donate.

The coding is inefficient, therefore the program lags.

Happy?

It's a program designed for Mac, therefore it will never be as speedy on windows. But I have to agree, regardless of specifications, iTunes still lags on windows.

iTunes dosnt lag for me.. i guess 3.6ghz cpu and 1500mhz RAM pays off..

When you have a large collection of music it does.

Has it ever crashed for you?

Weird, I've seen iTunes lag on an 8-Cored 4.4GHz PC.

I only use iTunes because of iSyncr, which lets me sync both my songs and playlists to my Android phone. It's the only program I've found that works reliably.

I hate iTunes otherwise, but it works for syncing, so I can't do much about it.

The only thing I'm using iTunes for, is to be up to date with podcasts, and to listen to online radios.

I think that iTunes has a more user friendly interface than WMP and Winamp.

iTunes is simple to get started with as well.

-For mp3's I use Spotify, because I don't need to download the music, however, I do download the

music, so I can use it for mixing later.

Itunes never lagged for me, but I never updated my version past... whatever the hell version came with my now six year old Ipod.

Also, how the fuck my Ipod still works after six years is a mystery to me. I hear they usually break pretty easy, and I haven't exactly been gentle with her.
