Okay, this is obviously a joke, and a somewhat amusing one at that.  However, judgmental people outside of the fandom are not going to see it that way.  This is basically just giving them another excuse to rage at us.  We're pretty much inviting Fox News to do another segment on us with this.  Therefore, I'm not signing.

Though I for one, do support switching the national anthem with "River in Judea" a song which I believe captures the "American Spirit" much better, but that is just me

Although, I would love to see the both the official and public reaction to this.

The first thing that needs to change in the sentence... by capitalizing the c on "change." Grammar Nazi alert but a petition with spelling errors on the title is not taken very seriously.

 

I'm guessing this is more so of a joke/prank, I doubt the person that made this petition was being serious. If they do accept this to do it for one day or a special day, I would find it hilarious.

plus signatures the president has to do a formal address so it must be

I agree.  The MLP theme should definitely NOT be the US national anthem.  The national anthem is meant to inspire patriotism by telling a story from the beginning of our country.  MLP has no place in any government.
