We got Solar Empire, New Lunar Republic, Royal Hive, Candence Oligarchy and Discord Anarchy... so what shall Twilight Sparkle's faction be called?

 

Reunited Equestrian Kingdom? Twilight Theocracy?

I don't see it happening for the fact that Twilight will never really distance herself from Celestia. Even if she is now a Princess I do not see Twilight leading ponies away from Celestia. Luna on the other hand is entirely different which is why it kind of works. Cadence I feel is sort of the same way. Celestia being her Aunt and all. This Royal Family is quite large if you think about it. If Cadence is Celestia's niece and Luna isn't her mother that can only mean there is another sister.

Hmm i did not think of that. But now that you mention it, it does seem possible and it makes sense. Because I honestly dont like the Idea of Princess Twilight i may be quick to put it down. But if the Mane 6 do become her knight's of sorts.. i would actually like that idea. I have always seen if Twilight became an Alicorn it would somehow distance herself from her friends. But that idea i really like.

Well, it has been done... Unless the speculations are wrong, and being a representitive princess does not grant her eternal life, Twilight will live on, to see the death of all her friends, the days turning grey without time, as time loses meaning when you lose an end. Imagine living forever... a purer torture would be difficult to come across... and its kinda degrading for the others, dont you think? they all helped  equally in their own right, yet only twilight is awarded the so called honour of being a princess.... completely undeserved, IMO... but I wouldnt know of any "faction" she would rule... too much power.

It has been referenced (in Hearths Warming Eve)  that before they came to power the Unicorn ponies were able to magically bring about day and night. So technically they are not needed. And Discord as well has been shown to have this ability. So Celestia and Luna being able to do it is not what makes them special. What does is that because they are immortal powerful demigods the responsibility of doing it rests on them and the unicorns of equestria are free to do other things. Now Cadence for example does not appear to have this immortal demigod status but she is very powerful with her ability to spread love. Officially the reason behind this is because when Lauren Faust developed this show Celestia and Luna were supposed to be the only Alicorns, In fact Celestia was supposed to be Queen Celestia. Hasbro made Cadence an Alicorn to sell more toys for the Royal Canterlot Wedding set. Princess Twilight doesn't in my opinion fit into this Immortal state. She is more like Cadence.

I suppose a good name might be the Twilight Socialism, since Twilight has a very strong leaning towards friendship. I would actually associate that with Socialism, so yeah. A type of "one for all" system sounds like something Twilight would have, considering how strongly she values contributing to society as a whole.

I do not think that she had to earn it seeing as she is directly related to Celestia. So this is (possibly) evidence that you can be born an Alicorn. But I guess this wont be answered fully until we are given more on the origins of Cadence or even Celestia and Luna for that matter. I think that because the title "princess" is as referenced by the show an earned title and not one exclusive by birthright it could be both. But i do know that during the character development phase Cadence was not originally intended to be an Alicorn. It would have been preferable to see Cadence "earn her wings" like Twilight did. It would have been perfect timing if Cadence became an Alicorn after her efforts to save the Crystal Empire. But generally i think it is accepted that she is a princess by birthright.

So, here's a question that's been bugging me for a bit...

 

In our fandom, we've given names to various non-existent rebellion/empire names (ie, New Lunar Republic, Solar Empire), and Cadance already has her own empire (Crystal Empire), leaving each of our Alicorns with their own personal flags to fight under should they have to. So... What does that leave Twilight? What would her uprising be called, should she start one? What's her battle cry? Discuss!

She might get her own place to rule. But honestly, I think that she is just next in line to take Celestia's place...but then again, Celestia lives for eternity, right? So maybe Twilight is just like Luna.....another Princess that helps rule with Celestia. She is an expert in friendship, and magic. 

 

So I dunno. I kinda don't want her to have her own place to rule, like Cadance. I like her as she is, and I think she could help out Celstia and Luna. Twilight, after all, is the time between night and day.
