Does it bother you when someone spells your name incorrecty

People can't pronounce my first name or family name properly let a lone spell them. I'll be glad to see the back of it when I can change it. The only usefulness it has to me is that it's a unisex name.

Yes but I get more upset about my last name than my first name. Someone’s always adding extra letters or saying it in a way that makes the person sound like they’re slurring.

I think I have about 50+ different variations of my name by now because of chronic misspelling. Someone at work misspells it a different variation every single time she writes it. It's not that hard it's 7 letters.

Its not so much the miss spelling which happens with my last name.....

Mostly its ppl shorting up my first name that drives me nuts....and EVEN when I ask NICE () they still do it....

It doesn't really bother me that much but it seems to happen to me fairly often with my first name, usually with different spelling variations but also on occasion with the wrong name entirely with similar sounding names and the feminine version of my name being used instead, had this both in written from and with my name being read out.

Last post was about my nickname that I went by for a long time. My real name is spelled pretty simply, but there is one apparently common alternate spelling of it and also it rhymes with another name and can easily be misheard. I generally don't care if people misspell it or mishear it, the only problem is when it leads to issues, like when I was applying to get my ID renewed and I gave them my email (which has my email in it) and I never received confirmation or a reminder for the appointment because they got my name in my email address wrong.

Yeah, everybody pronounces my name wrong. It's especially obnoxious that one supervisor at work is always yelling my last name over the intercom while she just uses some people's first names.

 

Edit: Oh, SPELLS, I thought it said "says". Nobody really spells my name wrong, it's just the pronunciation.
