I second this. Applejack won't win this tournament, but if I can help it at all, I won't let her go down to Derpy. I like Derpy and everything, but if AJ lost to a background pony, that would be just sad.

Wow!  Last round was exciting, I tell ya what!  Great job to everypony out there representing for Derpy Hooves; it wasn't easy, but we managed to pull it off.  Now the march to ultimate victory continues, and we must prepare for Derpy's hardest opponent yet in the Sweet 16: Applejack!    It's going to be tough, but I'm confident that with a concerted effort we can buck AJ from the competition!

I re-uploaded last year's bracket for comparison.

 

 

Very interesting comparing the two brackets; I think it was very smart of you this year to split up the Mane 6.  They pretty much knocked each other off in the first two to three rounds last year, whereas this year we might actually get some interesting late round match-ups between them.

That Derpy vs Octavia battle was a blast to watch over the course of yesterday. I figured Derpy would blowout Octavia, but the poll was constantly tied with Octavia occasionally stealing a lead. My only concern now is that one of my personal favorites, AJ, has to contend with all the Derpy fans once it gets around to that bracket again.

 

Nothing seems too surprising to me about this particular bracket. The cutie mark crusaders seem to be pulling along just fine, which means even Trixie doesn't stand a chance there. Though this does bring up an interesting matchup coming in the next bracket. Spike barely got away with beating Gummy. How's he going to fare against Sweetie Belle? He'll have my vote, but this should be interesting.

2. Sweetiebelle, because adorable voice cracks and adorable singing voice .

3.Vinyl because vinyl is a DJ and yeah Xd. I like his colorscheme to.

4. and finally Cadence, because I love Cadnence and Twilights little dance they do when they meet .

Sweetie Belle was my favorite Cutie Mark Crusader.

 

That was because I have an irrational hatred for Apple Bloom and Scootaloo barely got any characterization at all before Sleepless In Ponyville. 

 

I'm voting for Spike. He's more adorable (see: Owl's Well That Ends Well) than Sweetie Belle and simply seems a lot more interesting than she is. The main thing Sweetie Belle has going for her is her relationship with her sister. Except that Spike ALSO has an interesting relationship with TWO of the Mane 6 (Twilight and Rarity) and is a good character in his own right. He has plenty of flaws but is actually surprisingly mature for his age, sharing many similarities with Twilight Sparkle. But also being very NOT Twilight Sparkle at the same time. 

Spike should be the character the fandom makes all the "HE KNOWS THE FOURTH WALL" jokes, FYI. Not Pinkie.

I'm voting for all the current underdogs EXCEPT Pinkie Pie who certainly deserves to win over Time Turner. 

 

I like Sweetie but, come one, Spike is the 7th member of the Mane 6!

And Bon Bon over Princess Cadance because I'm dreading the first time I see two alicorns doing "Sunshine, sunshine" in season 4.

Okay, I am thoroughly disappointed. Soarin', losing to Vinyl? Soarin' is an exemplary character - he's a celebrity, but he's not swayed by his fans. He does what he likes to do, without worrying about his public image. He's there to show us that we can achieve our dreams and have all the followers in the world, but that that level of fame shouldn't turn us into a crowd-panderer. He's carefree, he's cute as hell, he says no to predefinitions, and he's a Wonderbolt - talk about talent.

 

 

How is that lesser to a pony who just stands with goggles at a turntable?
