After their Anti-LGBT behavior, I wouldn't step in there even if they were the last place to get food.

I'm sorry, but any Anti-LGBT behavior leaves a bad taste in my mouth, even if the food is good

That’s your prerogative hon. They’re allowed to have their beliefs and you’re allowed to not associate with them.

They know it might cost them customers, so it’s a risk that is on them.

Pretty sure there are companies that done much worse to the LGB community, such as Hugo Boss, literally making the SS uniforms,
That's a bit more directly supporting anti-LGB actions, don't you think?

What do you mean by SS uniforms?

There aren't any chick-fil-a where I'm from but I've heard their food is nice so I wouldn't mind eating food produced by them, I'm honestly not too bothered by what the company believes, as long as they produce good food then I'd buy from them and they're entitled to their own beliefs etc.

I ate there once. At BronyCon. And only because it was there and it was where everyone else on the forums was going.

Though I do have to give them props for their expedient service despite how slammed they were.

I don't go to Chick-fil-A too often, but all the times I've been there, the food and service have been great. I'll reiterate that I don't care about some of the things the CEO believes that I disagree with, the same way I don't care about what the CEOs of Wal-Mart and Amazon believe. I pay money, I get my product. :maud:

I'm not American, so that's a no from me.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I have once, but I never ate there again because the nearest Chick-Fil-A where I live is quite far away. There are other fast food restaurants I prefer more like In-N-Out Burger.

I will now, since they've offended the far right by saying they will no longer donate to anti-LGBT charities. They've really gained my respect, in a way quite similar to the way Gillette has. Good work abandoning and triggering the bigots.

Yeah still not going to give any more money to these bigoted idiots and still hope the business fails, since that was apparently a publicity stunt. Though it worked on offending the far right a bit more. Still hoping they fail as a business, because THAT would be capitalism at work, however much that offends the far right.

Besides, why would I give a joint that clearly has a hate b*ner for LGBT+ customers anyways? Considering I'm more than one letter of that, there's no reason for me to ever justify donating to the very causes that discriminate against me.

Problem is that was just a publicity stunt, as that was already backtracked.

I swear I recall Chick-Fil-A pulling this very same publicity stunt years ago. After it first became a huge controversy in the early 2010s I swear they made this promise back then, too. It was a big puff of smoke. This company doesn't have any intention of actually changing. Don't ever believe them when they say they want to change. They never have and never will.

If all it amounted to was beliefs, I don't think it would be as bad. It is the company's history of actively supporting anti-LGBT organizations, something that I highly doubt they have any true intentions of stopping. I am with @Envy on this one. They are clearly using this as a "we're good now" publicity move and I'm not yet convinced that it isn't a total facade. I doubt they will ever see my money, not that they care.

I did not eat from this restaurant when I went to the USA on holiday a year ago. Not because of the gay marriage thing but because I do not think their meat is Halal :yay:

I have heard that their food is very good from friends who are not Muslims so i would say go for it as the food is apparently very good :squee:

For the record, I don't care whether or not they're still donating to Christian charities because I don't care about the LGBT controversy. The problem to me is the lying and the cowardly weaseling.

Oh yeah, and I'm not boycotting the restaurant either, definitely not. :muffins: I hate writing "both sides" posts now, but it's true, there are two sides to this that both do not realize that the average boycott is useless because the general public doesn't care. :nom:

While it's a shame that the boycotting itself may not work on a large scale, that doesn't make me going and giving them my own money suddenly okay. I still have control over my own money, and them and the harmful groups they donate to will not have it.

I think that was because an airport banned them because of their donations . Yet, they’ve stopped the donations, and the airport kept banning them, so they went back to their old donations :mlp_icwudt:. Not really sure, that was about 2 years ago :dash:

PD: now I’m suddenly craving some Chick-n-trips, with those juicy and delicious waffle fries :oh_golly:. Maybe I’m ordering some tomorrow :mlp_icwudt:
